I've been here twice. The first time I wasn't wearing a sports jacket and the service was ok. Next time we were dressed to the nines and the service was amazing. I guess if they t...

The BEST sea food in town 10/10/2005

Sitting up at the bar at Leo's is my cup of tea,...(Blane is the man!) I always enjoy the company of a great bartender....However, if you want to enjoy a delicious plate of calamari, escargo, or crab cakes, (just to get started) this is the perfect place to start your night...the menu includes a whole slough of wines (which the eloquent staff can tell you all about), a couple of fresh catches-du-jour, and some excellent deserts (prepared by four star chef's, of course), Leo's is the place to do it! if you are not an oceanographer, you may not recognize a few of the main courses, but...they are all phenomenal! this place boasts a fine dinning atmosphere, and a cuisine you won't find this far away from Main, elsewhere...On or last trip, My lovely lady-friend Kelly, and I, came in for a quick bite, probably under-dressed (which was not a problem), received five star service, and bobbled out, full to the brim, maybe a little buzzed...Oops!? weee!...The wine, followed by a nice ten-year tawny port for dessert, were spectacular! (thanks again for the recommendation Blane),We love the satisfaction of being entertained by the fine dinning, yet easy going experience (even if I am wearing a tee-shirt,...come on!...It was a clean tee shirt,...Polo...I'm not low class...Dammit!...okay I know, I was under dressed, that's why we sat at the bar. Seriously, check this place out, it's good. more

Great New Seafood Restaurant in G.R. 8/20/2005

Leo's is our newest seafood hot spot. Both times I've been there we had a wonder meal and just as good service. Customers can tell the manager (Leo) wants his staff to show us his appreciation for visiting his business. The only thing I can say that isn't positive is that when I made reservations I asked not to be seated in the middle of the dining room. But that's right where we were placed. But, this is still a "Grade A" place. more

Pricey, but the best fish I've ever had... 8/16/2005

Excellent location right by Van Andel Arena. The meals were expensive, but it was the best seared tuna we've ever had. The staff was impeccable and flawless. The place was pretty swanky and men should probably wear a jacket. There was a limited number of chicken/pasta/steak dishes.... which were all also excellent. more
