not bad 3/29/2006

This is a good place for students who want to start trying vietnamese sandwiches, especially at night. It's pretty affordable at 2 bucks for a 10 inch sandwich which is also pretty filling. At latenights when only jack in the box in open, this is a good alternative for something that is a little more healthy. I would also recommend going here to study because there is fre wifi for lap tops. I love the pate more

Cheap Vietnamese sandwiches, open 24 hours 9/27/2005

A 10-inch vietnamese sandwich starts at $2.50. They have a different taste because of the vietnemese sauce and cilantro garnish. They're open 24 hours, but after 10 PM, though, they add $25c to every item. It's still cheap. They have a free internet kiosk too. more

good food 9/14/2005

lee's sandwiches is of course known for their sandwiches. their sandwiches are vietnamese. this basically means they come with pate. pate is an acquired taste i think. you can always order your sandwich without it. the bread of the sandwich is really good. crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. it's also really cheap. more

Great Late Night Snack 9/1/2005

It is a shame that this location is no longer open 24 hours. The typical sandwiches I'm not too big of a fan of, but the croissants are delicious. Everything is extremely cheap, but the quality is still good. Throw in a thai iced tea and you're set to go. They also have exotic flavored ice cream. more

Lee's Sandwiches 8/12/2005

Good prices, good sandwiches too. The bread's really good, and they don't add too little or too much pate. The coffee here is REALLY good too, and most people get it when they go here. more

Great for those on a budget! 8/11/2005

This Lee's sandwiches is right across the st. from the UCI campus and I believe it's one of the biggest ones. They are known for their cheap vietnamnese sandwiches, $1.50. I recommend the grilled chicken or pork sandwich. They also sell drinks and smoothies. This is a great place and location for those people on a budget! more

Good & cheap sandwiches....really cheap! 7/24/2005

The long anticipated Lee's Sandwiches made its glorious debut in the University Town Center to a welcoming population of sleep-deprived and pennywise students; that's because Lee's is open 24 hours a day and the majority of the sandwiches are under $2. The speedy service is reminiscent of an In-n-Out, except the order numbers are announced via a pre-recorded message and displayed on an LCD screen. These Vietnamese-style sandwiches are served on fresh, petite baguettes, and if you aren't familiar with this type of cuisine, forget the lettuce and tomatoes: these sandwiches come with a mixture of julianned and sweetened vegetables that works well with the savory meat, and for a price that is under $2, it's worth it to try at least once. Who knows? You might just get hooked. My only complaint would be that they pretty much skimp you on the meat, at least in the Vietnamese-style sandwiches. If you're a big eater, you might find yourself ordering two, which definitely isn't going to break your bank. But Lee's also offers noticeably larger "European-Style" sandwiches; these would be the lettuce-and-tomato type of sandwiches that we are used to here in the states. They come with a pickle, the choice of a croissant or baguette, and are a still a steal of a deal for the sub-$4 price. This particular Lee's also offers a rich, creamy, gelato type of ice cream, coconut waffles, patio-dining, two flat screen TVs (no sound), and internet access. more
