Chinatown's Best!! 4/11/2006

This is the only restaurant in Chinatown that I'll bother to go to anymore. The prices can't be beat and the food is just outstanding. I'm a big fan of the soup bowls that they have, for around $6.00 you can get a huge bowl of wonton soup loaded to the top and a ton of bbq pork to boot, that and an order of egg rolls and your good to go. I definitely recommend this one. more

Lee Wing Wah - good value in Chinatown Square 3/19/2006

Chinatown Square has a bunch of restaurants, but Lee Wing Wah is one of the better ones when it comes down to value. The Cantonese food is similar to what my family would have cooked for me. The food may not be the most adventurous, but everything tastes good and is surprisingly not that expensive. I have been here for regular meals on the main floor and banquet-style feasts on the upper level. more

Authentic Asian Cuisine 1/5/2006

My family and I (about 11 people) eat here about twice a month--basically on every possible occasion (birthdays, new year's, mother's day, etc). I agree with the other three reviews--it is cheap, the food is good, and--usually the service is quick. It can get a bit crowded on the first floor, but on the second floor, there is a lot of space. I know that there are also many wedding receptions and other parties held here because of how great everything is. If you want real Chinese food--follow the footsteps of this Chinese family (and countless others). more

Incredible food and great value. 9/5/2005

Lee Wing Wah is my favorite restaurant in Chinatown. The food is always fresh and the portions are large, so we always have leftovers. We like to go in a big group and sample many dishes at once. My favorites are the sweet and sour soup, orange chicken, and seasame chicken. We often get take-out as well, especially if we go during the busy dinner rush. more

My favorite family style restaurant 8/21/2005

Lee Wing Wah has to be my favorite family style restaurant in chinatown. Their prices are low and their portions are huge. All of them are cooked Cantonese style, so expect MSG, ginger, and green onions. I recommend getting the chinese family dinners as those are the best bargains. there are a few rude waitresses there who give lousy service and might ignore your table so keep that in mind. more

The Best Chinese Restaurant in Chinatown 8/5/2005

I have been living in Chicago for over 25 years and Lee Wing Wah Restaurant is the best family style chinese restaurant in town. You can expect very large portions and lots of seafood at a low price. Be sure to ask for their "Chinese version" family dinner menus. They offer the best price. My favorite is the Dinner 4, which includes Fish Fillets with chinese brocolli, Honey Walnut Shrimp, Stuffed Tofu, and a Dungeness Crab for only $39.99. This restaurant is usually packed on the weekends during dinner hours and on holidays. Be sure to make your reservation early. This is a great deal if you have a group of 4 or more, since prices per person for the dinner will average $10-15 without drinks. more
