Learning Styles

I had the same experience as others that have posted on here. Their center is small and pretty filthy-- and there's definitely food crumbs all around. I'm assuming, since the last reviewer, that hopefully they have been more clean. I was not impressed by what they had to offer. This center is very pricey, but they have limited materials and tutors. They hardly ever return phone calls. After the first impression I had with this center, I went elsewhere-- so I can't comment on the services. more

I am a little confused from the previous reviews. First of all, the center is located on North Main St in East Longmeadow, and has been since about 2008. I am a Hampden Wilbraham parent and my daughter has been with Learning Styles for 5+ years. They will meet your student at any location that is convenient for you. They are currently seeing my daughter in my home and at their center - they accommodate my schedule week by week. The center is always clean and food is not allowed in the tutoring stations. The office is open from 8:30am-7:00pm and the office staff is friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Not only are they always available for my daughter's tutoring needs, they are also ready and willing to let me vent about my day while I am in the waiting room. The only possible negative I can write about Learning Styles is the high hourly rate, however my daughter's progress has proven that the money is well worth it. Sounds to me that these reviews were written by a bitter ex-employee because they are neither constructive nor true. I encourage anyone that is interested in tutoring for their child to come check out the center and make a judgement for yourself. more

The only reason I gave this tutoring center one star, was because I couldn't choose 0. I came here to inquire about tutoring for my daughter, I didn't hear great things about this place to start with-- but I wanted to pursue it to make my own judgment. First of all, their hours state that they open at 9:00 AM-- I stopped by several times on my way into work at 9:10 (ish) to find that they were closed. I also called several times leaving a message and no one ever returned my calls. Finally, I stopped in when they were actually open. My first impression of the tutoring center was terrible. It was dirty & had an awful smell. The desks were disgusting and there was food everywhere. I attempted to speak with the two women at the front desk about their program, which ended up being a HUGE waste of time. Not only are they rude, but they are clearly not knowledgeable about their own programs. They were not able to give me straight answers to any of my (general) questions. The materials that they use are old and out of date, and their supplies and library are minimal, dirty, and sad. There are many other tutoring centers in the area that I would trust with my daughter; unfortunately, this is not one of them. more
