I can only talk about the coffee and chocolate croissant I have here. Both are excellent and among my favorite breakfast treats. Parking isn't too bad in the morning when I'm there before a haircut. more

Delicious! 7/24/2010

Le Pain Quotidien has a great selection of fresh breads, pastries, croissants, brioches, pains aux raisins, apple turnovers, belgian waffles... It's a great place to go to for breakfast, lunch (salads, tartines, omelets, soups) or to enjoy a coffee and pastries in the middle of the afternoon! Pros: Fresh & yummy breads, pastries more

warm 2/5/2009

uh, interesting- I want to try it again. I had the goat cheese omlet with a salad not bad. OJ was the bomb. Seating was pretty cool. You get to sit next to other families and be warm. I liked it. Good quaility. more

BRING OLD quiche lorraine recipe BACK!!! 11/28/2008

I love le pain Quotidien. BUT a few days ago I went back here and ordered my absolute favorite thing on the menu the quiche Lorraine. To my HUGE disappointment they had changed the recipe for it! They've replaced the most scrumptious recipe in the world for one that really tastes like it was bought at a discount chain and microwaved. WHY!?!?!?!? This was the BEST thing on your menu! Why would you change perfection? more

MMMM 3/27/2007

I love LPQ. Super yummy. I love the roasted turkey with herb dressing sandwich if I want something substancial to eat, but many times my friend and I will go just to nosh on their cheese plate and use the delicious spreads there on their fresh breads. The Praline spread is insane. more

European Casual Eating in a nutshell 6/22/2006

This is a perfect lunch or breakfast spot for the casual diner that yearns for a little gourmet. The food is presented grandly. There are open faced sandwiches, breads and jams, and a variety of pastries. The bread is truly fresh in a European style. It has a great crispy crust and soft middle. more

Simplicity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3/29/2005

Le Pain Quotidien uses great organic ingredients and keeps it simple! This makes for true flavor in their food. After trying their tartines I truely can say fresh organic ingredients are REAL FOOD! You will leave with your body and pallet fully satisfied. At first they seem very set in their own ways, not allowing many substitutions. But when your try their food you understand why they want their food presented in the way they do. Its all about true flavor! Its nice to have a unique place like this in a city full of cloned European cafes. Pros: Fresh food, unique, ambience Cons: parking, loud, crowded more

Simply the best omelet in town 2/27/2005

Having a breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien was like having breakfast at home with the family. Sharing the big table felt like a family reunion. The staff was very friendly and helpful and finally the food was just awesome. It was probably the best omelets i had, the organic apple juice was amazing and then we all melted with the chocolate mousse cake ! WE HAD A GREAT TIME. more

Deliciou$ 10/7/2003

Something as simple as ham and swiss cheese on a croissant is elevated to something special at Le Pain Quotidien. It's all in the ingredients -- the most subtle and succulent ham you've ever tasted and a blanket of savory melted swiss, decked out on a soft, fresh croissant. Don't skip dessert. With an array of treats to choose from, it was a plate-sized chocolate chip cookie that called my name. It was thin and crisp and wonderful. It's not cheap (about $20 for lunch), but it's worth it. Pros: nice atmosphere, aroma of bread Cons: relatively expensive more

What Cute Sandwiches! 7/11/2003

This restaurant has won me over with their deceptively simple open-faced sandwiches. At first glance a combination like ricotta cheese, honey, fresh pepper, and scallions seems too strange and basic to be good. But after one bite I was in heaven. Same goes for the shrimp, tuna, and roast beef sandwiches I have tried. And afterwards there are a bunch of delicious pastries and desserts waiting for you if you're not shackled to the Zone or Atkins at the moment. The big common table in the center is fun, too. Service is fast and friendly. Nowhere to park, though, so walking there is recommended. more
