While visiting Coconut Grove I had the chance to discover a truly wonderful French Bouchon (Le Bouchon du Grove). Having lived in France for a number of years, it was refreshing to find a great French Chef and restaurant here in the area. The food was typical French, but much more upscale in quality and variety than one would typically find in a Bouchon in France. The choices were vast, quality sensational, and service that was perfect. Great value as well, both with the menu and wines. Chef/Owner Christian is very talented and you'll find him visiting with his guests and enjoying interacting with his staff. The staff is very friendly, professional and serious about caring for the guests. Whether you dine for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you will love it all. Especially if you enjoy the ambiance of a typical French Bouchon. It was so good I dined there 5 times over two days! more

This is an ideal place for a gathering of out of town visitors or local friends. There's something for everyone on the menu & the prices & service are great. Staff make everyone feel welcome and they bend over backwards to accommodate. more

The food was great, the atmosphere was fun, but the bread was disappointing more

Charming and intimate with the most wonderful food. The chicken fricassee with morel risotto was simply amazing. We finished with coffee and creme brulee that was to die for. Our waiter was awesome, i just wish i could remember his name to give him props. It is a little pricey for frequent dining, but well worth it. more

My meal was breakfast of fruit salad, scrambled eggs and banana pancakes. The pancakes are too crape-like and the eggs too wet for my taste. The bread was Amazing! more

I love eating at Le Bouchon, it's prices are more than fair for the incredible dishes they prepare. The staff is always friendly and attentive. I love the escargot with their home made baguette, and their sea bass with cherry tomatoes risotto is to die for, as well their chicken fricassee with morel mushroom risotto. Great food, great ambiance at great prices. more

This is a sidewalk café, full of character and personality, close your eyes to the surroundings outside and it is easy to believe that you are in a little corner of Lyons. The decoration is a multi-colored tribute to France, this is a relaxed little restaurant that has been around since 1994 and is still going strong. more

Escargots are dear to my heart as I love the chewy yet soft texture, it is divine to me. The escargots were swimming in a pool of garlic and parsley sauce, parsley overflowing all over the dish. more

Authentic French Expierience 2/21/2011

This place has the feel of an authentic French restaurant. Small tables and a little cramped space really made me feel as if i was in a French Cafe. And it has the food to back it up. Great place for lunch or a romantic dinner. more

Great setup! Very authentic and cozy, food however didn't impress me at all. Some of the staff also had a fake smile on their face because we had a baby with us I guess. more

This is one of my favorite restaurants. Lunch is okay, but breakfast and dinner are musts. Great wait-staff, excellent food. I had a sea bass with risotto that was amazing, along with a tomato terrine that was equally delicious. They pay attention to the delicacy of flavors and complement them with the perfect side. Can't remember the name of their chocolate dessert, but it is amazing. It is served with a small candy orange and is doused with the most incrredible orange cream sauce. Decadent and worth it. Great for special occasion. Small and intimate ambiance. You must go here. more

Have eaten there many times over multi-yearr period. Is my fave French Restaurant...i claim some validity for the judgement in that i am French and have eaten in quite a # of French restaurants. Any item i have tried from the menu or the "specials" list, whether seafood or meat as well as thier fab creme brulee' desert, has been exquisite. Service is good as well. ...Only 1 negative is: due to the openess of the dining area, the smoking allowed on the outside perimeter seating can occasionally waft to the interior area. more

The food was good but the staff leaves something to be desired. My girlfriend who is allergic to nuts informed our server of this several times. After dinner we made sure our ice cream was nut free and proceeded to enjoy it. Two bites into it she pulls a nut out of her mouth. We explain to the server what happened and asked again what kind of ice cream it was. He didn't know now and the manager came over. After all was said and done they didn't take anything off the bill and they still weren't sure what kind of ice cream it was. (I called the next day and got the entire meal comped by the owner) more

Delicious food, the ambiance is like a European restaurant, the waiters are ALL FRENCH... beware of the prices... we had two main dishes, split a salad and one glass of wine and we left $100 poorer... I will have to dwell on the memory for a month before I can go out to eat again.. more

That is literally what I told the manager after i called him over to my table. The chicken with mushroom risotto is, by-far, the most amazing chicken I have ever eaten. When I was younger I went once, and from then on had seen going to this restaurant as a privilege, and now that I can choose where to go, this restaurant is at the top of my list.\r I have gone through ups and downs with this restaurant (especially because one day they served me a cappuccino served with nescafe), but after eating that chicken I will keep coming back for years. more
