Worst yoga in the city. 1/3/2009

I wish I could give this place zero stars. Full disclosure: I am a certified yoga instructor. Since a friend recommended me, I thought I would take a few classes. Big mistake. The worst experience was on Christmas Day, when they had one class. It was so crowded that you could barely move even on your own mat. The instructor droned on and on, for about 15 minutes, not about something interesting or relevant, but rather her own ego massaging diatribe. The music (a lot of Christmas music!) was so loud, even after asking her to turn it down, even still instructions were unclear. A complete waste of time, I will never go back there. Don't waste your time/money, there are plenty of other very nice studios. more

Expensive, but worth it 8/18/2005

I am a novice at Yoga, but still found this place entertaining. They were great at easing me into things and most of all explained the history behind the practices. I found it a bit interesting. The center is very clean, very professional and the staff is helpful. They are great for novices, not sure about those already experienced. more

comfortable noncompetitive nonglamourous yoga 8/16/2005

If you go to yoga to look hot in your outfit, pick up limber guys or gals, or have no interest in the spiritiual side of yoga, then don't go to laughing lotus yoga! if you want a really comfortable, nurturing, spiritual but fun environment, then make your way down there. check out the website. they have great intro deals and free intro classes scheduled throughout the month. I go to their beginner classes and love them. it's $10-15 a class singly but they have lots of multi-class plans if you buy ahead. warning to guys: decor is a bit girly, and the classes are at least 80% female usually, but guys are definitely welcome and not singled out. more
