Best

Tasty drinks, nice crowd, good music!

Worst

me and 3 girlfriends went there on a weeknight, way after happy hour. the bar was barely crowded and the female bartender walked past us over 10 times. she didnt even want to ackn...

Great Bartenders, Trendy Place 12/29/2005

The first thing most people notice is the trendy space and no cover. The drinks are only good during happy hour and then the prices sky rocket afterwards. Its worth noting that they try the whole ""loungey / club"" approach but with a shotty DJ they fail miserably. The TVs are interesting touch, but there is no sports to be shown here most of the time as it is a looped playback of some classic movie of the week. Service has never been terrible but the place has never been extremely impressive either. Surely they can do something else with all of that space. Pros: Drinks, Service, Decor Cons: Bathrooms, Music more

What Service!!! 12/29/2005

I stumbled into Latitude last night for the first time and let me tell you I loved every second of it!! The staff was so friendly and accomodating, I had a new drink infront of me before even having to ask for it, I Love that =) The place was gorgeous and even got to go on a tour since only the bottom floor was open when i was there. I def can't wait to host my birthday there this year!! And an added bonus..The staff is so hot! Patrick is the best!! Just another reason to keep heading back to this place! Save a dance for me Patty!! Pros: Service, Staff, Atmosphere Cons: NONE! more

A LONG OVERDUE BASHING!!! 12/26/2005

It's hard to describe how terrible this place is in under 150 word but here goes. had a private halloween party here and could not have been more disappointed. to begin with my 100+ guests were herded into the back area where our open bar was tended to by ONE, count em ONE bartender. Needless to say drinks took forever to get, the overworked bartender was bitchy (can't blame her), the drinks we got were watered down and only served one at a time. The event coordinator promised me a number of free bracelets for organizing the party...they never happened bc I was told the event coordinator was let go and they could no longer honor her agreements. The management advertised a costume contest that NEVER happened. As all this crap is happening imagine now it's all happening to an f'n bonjovi/britney spears soundtrack. I can go on forever...... REALLY! Pros: it won't be, around long Cons: unprofessional, cheesy more

Hot and Hotties 12/8/2005

I swung by Latitude last night and let me tell you I plan on coming back in tonight. The place looks sick, and the upstairs has a pool table... Hapy hour was def worth it and I have been introduced to a new drink, a ""Mohito"" . Aside from the bar, theres hot a$$ bartenders there who dance together and totally try to be corny about it, but its so hot. Its like Pam anderson and neve campell as a couple. Girls are such teases....but the entire staff was really cool and the chick fingers are spicy. Def a cool spot and a potential New Years Eve night. Pam, Im coming back for yoU! more

All staff are very friendly and fast! Funny and will always make sure you and your party are happy. the Irish kid is the best! more

Great Place for a Party!! 11/21/2005

When I stumbled upon this trendy and totally new, rennovated spot, only 1 of 4 levels was open. Even then the music and crowd were great. After telling the bouncer we were planning a party for 40 friends, we received VIP service from the manager, Steve, who gave us a private tour and complementary drinks. Maggie, the event coordinator, followed up with us to book our party at a great rate--it was hard to find a deal in NYC for private seating without bottle service and this was unbeatable! We had the best area in the house, complete with a private cash bar, flat screen TV, pool table, bathroom and fireplace! The hostess was phenomenal, even recruiting the hottest guys from the regular crowd to join our party. I'm astounded at the level of service Latitude provides...I even received a post-party follow-up call from Deb. We'll be back! Pros: Amosphere/Music, Spacious/Modern, Roof Deck/Pool Table Cons: Still catching on, No designated dancefl more

Surprised 11/4/2005

Clients and I went for dinner on Wed. night. I must say I was very surprised at how great the food was. I felt a need to share this information with you. We will be back! Pros: food, staff, dj more

Beautiful addition to 8th avenue 10/2/2005

I was bar hopping Friday night and popped into Latitude. The place had a great vibe and is trendy but the staff is very friendly. 8th avenue has great mix of good bars this one is definetly adds to the diversity and is on the higher end. Pros: Friendly Staff, Good Music, Great Vibe Cons: Dark signage outside more

The barmaids make the difference! 9/7/2005

Been there twice in the early evening so far and enjoyed it. The girls who work there are down to earth and very attractive. I was there last night and my friend I spent most of our time there speaking to one of the bartendresses. We had a great time. Very friendly. Their grand-opening is on October 7th. Right now only the main level is open. They are finishing up with 3 more floors - including a roof-top bar. The staff seems excited about opening up the rest of the place. The drink prices seemed average; like $7-ish for liquor. The drinks were maid well. they have screens playing sports. The US Open was on last night. They also play pop and hip-hop music. I've seen people dancing there. Haven't tasted the food yet. Great place for after work. Pros: hot friendly staff, fair prices, new more

Loved Every Second!!! 8/28/2005

I went to Latitude with a few of my friends last Thursday after work. It was way better than I expected. The drinks were incredible, the music had my hips swaying and the men had my head turning. I will defitnely be back. more

Nice place to grab a drink 8/4/2005

Tuesday night, stopped in for a drink and to check out the place. At the time I was there, the upstairs were all closed, but the place was not crowded. I bumped into a friend there who says she frequents it after work often and she enjoys it. The tv's above the bar downstairs was nice, all the games playing and easy to view. I would go back again and would like to see what a weekend looks like. Pros: many televisions, nice atmosphere more

Eh well... 7/7/2005

I live in the neighborhood and was very excited to see a place open up with a second floor and rooftop bar... however in all times I've stopped in or passed by, they're never open. The place itself is nice looking, clean lines, but the staff is very unfriendly and not attentive. When they get the music playing, it's too loud and the selection is often a very weird mix. I won't be returning anytime soon. more

Theres better places 6/19/2005

The atmosphere is nice, but a staff makes a bar if you ask me...They are too uptight and it looks like they are running a concentration camp...Have some Fun boys and girls!....I felt like they were going to yell at me, and I received little or no attention. Flat screens are always a plus..drinks are pretty good....food isnt the best...but its not the worst place in the city..its okay actaully....they just arent running it right...not too welcoming.... ps. There is a roof bar. Pros: drinks, tvs Cons: staff, aura more

Classy Bar with pub feel 5/16/2005

walking down the street windows wide open so i walked in. can't say i walked out the same way, as i stayed there until the early morning. nice place, good music, fair pricing. check it out more

Good Find! 4/25/2005

We stumbled in here looking for a place to watch the NCAA Tournament. If you like being able to here the game you are watching, Latitude is the place for you. The tv's are large, picture clear and you can actually hear the announcers. A rarity in most bars. Once the games were done, the DJ began playing very good music - - kind of a hip-hop/top-40 mix. Surprisingly, the crowd was not as touristy as you would think, since it is basically right in Times Square. I definitely recommend Latitude and was informed that there were two more floors and a rooftop!!! In the very least, it's worth a try, and the price is right!!.... Pros: TVs, Music, Attractive bartenders Cons: Male bartenders, limited 1st fl tables more
