This place is very unassuming. Don't go expecting bright, shiny, or new. Don't go if you're in a hurry. Go if you have a lazy day or evening ahead of you and you want some rib-sticking Cuban food. \r
The mariquitas en mojo (banana chip with garlic sauce appetizer), black beans, shrimp creole, and bistec in cazuela sauce are all very good. Weekend brunch is also tempting... I had an egg dish, which was fine, but another diner ordered a breakfast steak and it smelled heavenly.
Pros: Local, quiet, different, good value
Cons: Not what many expect from a restaurant
