Went to lasik plus recently and staff was excellent and the experience was great. I like reading reviews before I go to a place so I am going to sum up my experience as best as I can so everyone can get a idea on how it is. I too was nervous as probably some of you are too. I actually did my lasik the same day I got my consultation because i wanted to get it over with. Staff was nice and told me on how everything was going to go and feel. I personally hate anything near my eyes and my eyes are very sensitive. But i literally just sucked it up and thought to myself anything is better than what I see right now. I literally had bad eyes and couldnt see anything close or far when I took off my glasses but i never had sigmatism or anything else. When it was time to do my surgery it literally took only like 30 seconds for each eye. It was uncomfortable but they put things in your eyes for you not to move which is good otherwise I would have not been able to do it. After the process you can see better than you did but just a little blurry. Now this is where you have to man up. The next 3 to 4 hours are so uncomfortable. You have a little burning sensation and its so uncomfortable that it makes you want to rub your eyes but you cant. The feeling is like you have been peppered sprayed but not that hard of a feeling. ( ex military by the way so i know how it feels) You really cant open your eyes so they reccommend you take a nap. But once you can put the drops of special eye drops you are prescribed when you wake up the pain goes away and its all better. Well worth it though. Greatest feeling in the world to know you can see. The next morning I could see so clearly. Awesome experience. Just have it in your mind that the outcome is going to be better than whatever your seeing now and thats always better. I had my LASIK surgery today, 9/1/11, and it was everything I was expecting plus more! This place was very clean, and kept up very well. The staff was extremely friendly, and helpful. They made me feel comfortable, and treated me like a person instead of a number. The consultation was easy, but very detailed. They advised me of all the provisions, outcomes, options, possibilities, everything! The surgery itself was quick, easy, and only slightly uncomfortable...but painless! My friend/driver was very much entertained since the operation room was all glass and she was able to watch the entire process! Not to mention they had two monitors up that showed a close up of my eyes during the operation. Needless to say we have pictures of this life changing event! :) Dr. Smith advised me to go straight home, keep my eyes closed as much as possible and to take a nap. He even gave me Tylenol PM so I wouldn't have any trouble sleeping for a few hours. As I scheduled my 24 hour follow up appointment the assistant was joking with me and very down to earth. She even gave me extra boxes of artificial tears for free. :) After my nap, I woke up to a message on my phone from Dr. Smith himself just calling to check up on me! Now that's personal and customized service! I would definitely recommend LasikPlus Plano, TX to anyone and everyone who is considering LASIK surgery! 5 Stars for sure!!!! more

I had my Lasik surgery done back in May 2009 and the staff at Lasik Plus in Plano were amazing. They explained in full detail everything that would happen during the surgery. I know someone said that it wasn't guaranteed, but in all reality there is any surgery that's guaranteed. I highly recommend this place. Awesome job! more

I just had my surgery April 10 09. The facility is nice and the staff is friendly but they failed to mention before the surgery that I would have to undergo a second surgery to give me the vision I desired. Well the surgeon had problems just putting the eyelid clamp on my left eye and mid-procedure had to stop the laser and reclamp me. This was the scariest experience I have ever been through and truly believe that I was not a candidate for Lasik (I have very high astigmatism). I believe they just wanted my money without considering if this procedure was right for my strong prescription. They want me to schedule my second surgery in 3 months, but I highly doubt I will risk my eye sight again. Right now my vision is blurry when I look at anything further than a 6feet range and I feel naucious at times from just looking around. I look like a vampire because in both of my eyes I have broken vessels that will not go away for a long time (I have to celebrate my birthday looking like this in Vegas this coming weekend.) I am very unhappy with my results. You will take a big risk no matter what doctor you choose for your LASIK, but I know for sure that this surgeon was not up to par with my expectations. I personally would have stayed with contacts if I knew this would happen. I don't want to advise everyone that this is not the place to go for LASIK because my father had his done a week and a half before me and he is absolutely thrilled with his results (he does not have astigmatism like me).
