Benihana's restaurant, I love to gamble there and I have won! Lots to do for young & old and big...all restaurants are nice...wonderland by itself...overall entertaining. Pros...

I have been to Tempo before when there was this really unfortunate duo singing pop music. Tonight there was no such entertainment. Alas, we all still managed to have a good time.....

Run down dinosaur thats being put to sleep 11/14/2011

As a Hilton Hhonors member ive stayed here many, many times over many years. Now ONLY to get the ultra cheap rooms and earn Hhonors points. Others do this as well. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL...EVER First; Front desk ""manager"" known as ""Junior"" is the MOST unprofessional, rudest and completely ignorant person Ive had to deal with both personally or professionally. I was actually stunned by his ignorant attitude and disinterest in customers. I wouldnt dare say guests. Some, few, employess are true gems, others the bottom of the barrel. Junior Salvator is an example of the latter and im sure has cost this place dearly. I have had friends and groups in town and have sent them to other hotel properties due to this ...condescending-without-merit person Granted its a faded glory BUT that solely due to Colony capitol the owners who had a unique licensing agreement with Hilton, which finally, they lost effective Jan 3 2012. Colony walked away from Resorts in Atlantic City and The AC Hilton, now the ACH, lost its franchise immediately and according to teh AC press hasnt paid taxes since 2009. This seems to be the way this company operates: Buy a property run it to the ground until teh bank takes over and declare bankruptcy. The rooms are old. Even the fantasy suites on the 29th floor feature ( drum roll) A VCR!! I miss the 80's but REALLY?? Rugs look like they just removed the police tape from the crime scene, dirty musty and old. bathrooms are surprisingly clean however. The halls are long , floors uneven and dark. SIGNAGE IS HORRIBLE you will never find you way without a guide. Spa is OLD SCHOOL which, if you like that, youll enjoy the experience. Gym is in the spa. There are separate male and femalespa areas. Great attendants and the manager ""Carol"" is a gem. Food: its bad but at least its expensive....... LVH is NOT a food destination. benihana is the best outlet but even that is very uneven. check in is amazingly slow- so slow its almost like a seinfeld skit, typing for minutes and minutes etc. Other properties are so fast. Bedding and towels are old. very old and surely the cheapest they could rent. Amenities are hilton standard however that will change in 2012. beds are cheap. Few furnishings in the room TV: Tired old box tvs and some rooms have plasmas BUT only a handful of channels and no HD which most properties have. Complains and problems fall on deaf ears. Its the only Hilton affiliated property that does not respond to emails when all you are trying to do is resolve an issue, which then in itself becomes and issue. Vip lounge has its gems... This access is given to Diamond members instead of the lounge floor upgrade or access as required under Hilton Hhonors program ( they have the resorts club level-named to avoid policy compliance, not worth the price) Parking is easy. Fast to get from car to room usually. Avoid sportsbook parking on sunday of course Sportsbook is giant and loud. Table games frequently have high minimums. Slots run from 1980 models to newer games. Players Card program went from bad to worse. Low payback and comp especially since the other properties have upgraded their programs. Many people have the same complaints over a long period which clearly shows the lack of ACTION from the property. Ive seen the innocous responses to some complaints posted here, but that ""lip service"" to alieviate the effect of the honest reviews. If you get a cheap rate, and need a place to stay...well... actually, there are many superior properties ( South point, Orleans etc) that offer superior product at a low price more

food & gambling 3/23/2010

More & Gendel- Fantastic Duo in the Tempo Lounge 11/14/2009

My family and I have been visiting Las Vegas for years now and we have been to many show rooms and lounges in most of the casinos. In recent years our favorite thing to do far and away is sit in the Tempo Loung at the Hilton when More & Gendel are performing. Llynda More has a strong voice that can cover alot of ground, she sings the easy listening standards, pop, rock, country.....or even the hardest metal songs. Mark Gendel is excellent on guitar, guitar fans out there will be amazed. He will play funky rythms or blistering hard rock with the best of them. I am serious they are unbelievable.\r We really enjoy watching More & Gendel interact with the audience. They are sure to get people involved in the act and they will mix up the songs to go with the mood of the room, keeping tempo in the Tempo !\r My son turned 21 in Las Vegas and they gave him a very special treat. Playing a song for him and having him put on a party hat, it was sooo much fun. I have also seen them do similar things for other events.\r I think More & Gendel are a great part of the Las Vegas experience and the Hilton should be thrilled to have them ! Pros: They perform all styles of music more

Upset Weekend 5/31/2009

Never staying at the Hilton before I relied upon the reservationist to fulfill my request...My son was getting married at the Hilton and it was also my birthday and a friends anniversary...I was informed that I could have a Lanai suite that had a patio adjacent to the pool area...I specifically requested a room by the pool area as I do not gamble but I enjoy the sun and water...Upon arrival the room was a Lanai but not near the pool...I was informed by management that the owner had taken all the pool side suites. When i insisted on a refund management refused stating I needed to give them 48 hrs notice...even though they had not fulfilled my request. We decided to stay only because the majority of the wedding party was at the Hilton...During the course of our stay we had personnel walk into our rooms without knocking at least 3 times a day...Friends of ours had some walk in there room at 01:30 and when asked who it was stated housekeeping and left..My daughter in law had her wedding ring and others items taken from her room. Every night I had to go back down stairs to get a new room key becasue my card would not work. I could go on but needless to say I will never stay at the Hilton again Pros: Nice Rooms Cons: Unannounced personnel in rooms more

Just OK 11/22/2006

I stayed here before with my parents and it is ok. Not on the strip but luckily the tram is available at this hotel. I guess it is a good hotel if you are there for business because it is close to the convention center, overall it is a pretty boring hotel. Pros: tram available Cons: kind of boring more

A little outdated 11/18/2006

So if you love Star Trek this is the place to go for the tourist thing. Other than the ride and the little museum of show memorabilia that's about it. I had a bad experience with rude cashiers there and not really much else to say about it. If you a cheap room here great, but they are a little off the strip and it would be an ambitious undertaking to walk from there to almost anywhere. Cons: a little ways off strip more

Best casino 11/17/2006

This was to best casino I visted on the strip, the staff was very friendly, won some money and had a great time. more

much better choices 10/23/2006

Do not stay here, if you like to stay somewhere nice. The people who stay here are not high-class people if you know what I mean. There was no decent food in the place. We stayed in a comped suite, which was ok, but the suites should be great. It's really far off the strip so it takes a while to get places. There are much better choices on the strip!! more

Aged, Overpriced, Lame 2/6/2006

I came for the 2006 CES, along with thousands of others. That's hard on a hotel, but no excuse for charging $350 per night for a second-floor room facing a parking lot. Inside the room, I found the lighting consisted of wretched flourescents that were bright enough for surgery. There are thoughtful ways to design lighting. And then there is the Hilton's ready-for-surgery in your room approach. I had to turn the bathroom light OFF to take a shower, and use the reflected flourescent from the hallway. It lit up the whole bedroom, plus the bath. Ick! At the business center, I sent a package out on Sunday, paid for two-day shipping, and they didn't send it until Tuesday, so I got my stuff on Thursday. How lame is that? Very. Close to events, but I'd rather walk a mile than stay there again. Pros: Close to convention, Tempo Bar Cons: Horrifying lighting, Business dis-services, Value more

Close yet so far 10/27/2004

Went last November for college friends ""reunion"" - great prices on nice rooms. Cons - further from strip than we thought so taking a cab is a must; this can make you feel somewhat isolated from ""real vegas""; limited number of tables as well so you have to leave b/c it gets boring. Pros - great staff - gave us a room upgrade as result of reservation error with no fuss; chinese restaurant - great food and decently priced; dealers - friendly and fun! Pros: rooms & rates, staff Cons: , number of tables more

Relaxing Atmosphere 3/11/2004

If you like your gambling a little more subdued and relaxing, this is your place. Off-strip location cuts down on foot traffic through the casinio and noise. Nice rooms, good food and great shows each time I've been there. Pros: Quieter, Great Sports Book, Star Trek Cons: , Parking more

it wass a luxury hotel. 5/30/2002

This was a great hotel even though many hotels exist in las vegas but the hilton holds it's own and it has a class to it that gives it the accreditation to hold it's own place as a great hotel. What made this as a great experience there was seeing charles barkley going to the vip elevator .So to make it short i encourage you to go and check out this hotel.who knows who you will see there. The only thing i suggest is to see if you can budget the hotel if you can you wont regret it. Pros: great hotel Cons: somewhat expensive more
