Las Palmas Mexican Restaurant

We have come home from England and we normally eat at Las Palmas once a week. We usually go with our friends the Pollards. We moved here in 2002 from Atlanta and there they have wonderful authentic Mexican Restuarant. Well, when we visited Las Palmas, we knew this was the best. We went to church and told everyone and now everyone agrees with us, it is the very best. Along with Las Palmas being the best Mexican Restuarant in town, we attend the friendliest, best preaching from the KJV 1600 Bible in this town. Dr. Billy Goolesby has visited Las Palmas many time, hey, Judy bring the ones that are off on Sunday and visit Rome Baptist Temple on New Calhoun Highway off the by pass. We have moved to England and have eaten in a couple of Mexican Rest. They were disgusting!!! We traveled alot before we left the States and ate at Mexican Rest all over the east. Never did we find a Mexican Rest. that even "touched the hem of the garment" to Las Palmas. We used to meet every Friday with 3 other couples around 3 pm and have the most fantastic, chips, salsa and entrée'. The service is next to none. The servers were courteous, polished and met ever need. The cheese sauce is wonderful and I cannot find a recipe for it. So I am going to write Las Palmas and see if they will send it to me. We have concluded that we will make our own, even El Paso and Ortego is better than the Mexican rest here in the UK or even Europe. Thanks, Jerry Ann Burket more

This is the best place in Rome to eat Mexican. The restaurant is always clean and the chips are always fresh. There is always at least one smiling greeter waiting to seat you as soon as you come in the door. Their food is awesome and I think they have the best salsa around. Make sure you get their early or plan to eat late because this place gets really busy around lunch and dinner. Their prices are in line with the other mexican restaurants in town. They even have a great, reduced price lunch menu. Highly recommended! more
