Dr. Laney and his staff were very friendly and prompt with my consultation. I was referred to him by a patient of mine who went in to have a breast augmentation that she was very happy abaout. The consultation room was a little small and needed some wall mirrows and not just the hand held mirror. Pictures were taken and he showed me digitally what could be done and what couldn't. We discussed risks and expectations. I was then taken on a tour of the facilites, operating room and shown how close they are to the hospital. Should there be any difficulties. an underground tunnel to the hospital is available. After I went in with another lady who told me about costs and financing, budget and what he thought would be beneficial. She also showed me books of Dr. Laney's work. Don't be fooled by his charisma. If you have true oral medical needs look elsewhere. His ""exams"" are don't merit the term, being casual to the point of negligent. One hopes for an MD who at least investigates and tries to determine the origin and cause of a patient's problems, particularly when being referred from other highly regarded specialists. Laney likes ea$y jobs and refers anything challenging to the UW like their clinic is a magic bullet. I'd suggest sending him back to medical school for a refresher course on common oral medical problems.
