On It's Way To Becoming An Actual Landmark 6/16/2006

This neighborhood has so much going on and there's a lot to do around here. One of the biggest reasons to go to this "cosmpolitan" hood is this movie theater. They show a lot of indie flicks and smaller films here. Some have ended up doing rather well. There are also screening for new films held here all the time. They do have indoor parking (because street parking is almost impossible). You will pay a little more here, but it's worth it once in a while. more

Movie Delight 5/27/2006

Probably the best place to see a movie in Chicago. The seats are comfortable, the concessions offer all you could need (including espresso!), the bathrooms clean and plenty, and the movie selection--superb! Some mainstream movies are shown, but most movies are independent or non-blockbuster flicks. The CHicago film festivals also use this location frequently. A parking garage is available; parking on the street is not good. There are many restaurants in this area for pre or post movie--try Aladdin's or Eatzkis. more

Foreign Films 5/27/2006

I get in to foreign films so this place is great for me. You can usually catch me hanging out here in the afternoon checking out their latest films. This theater is in th perfect location, because it is surrounded by all different types or restaurants and quick bites to eat if you don't get in to pop corn. The bus also drops you right off in front if you don't drive. more

Indie Films 5/9/2006

I love going here on occassion with a group of friends to watch an independent film. They alsoshow foreign films, but I have never actually watched on here. They have a good number of titles playing here all the time and the theater is great. Its located at the top level of Century Mall and its a spacious place with plenty of seating. You won't have to worry about huge crowds or long lines here either. This is always a fun experience and always a fresh change from your mainstream Hollywood hits. more

Indepedent Films 3/19/2006

Landmark Century Centre Cinema is a great movie theater if you feel like avoiding the Hollywood blockbusters and enjoying an independent film. The theaters are clean and well kept and the popcorn always tastes fresh, even though the traffic is less here compared to the other mega theaters in town. It's located inside the Century Centre mall, so you can stop off at Eatzi's for a bite to eat afterwards. more

foreign films 3/9/2006

This is a great theater near where I live. It is in an awesome location, located right inside of a mall and near many good restaurants and cafes. Plus, they play lots of cool films, like foreign films that you won't find at conventional theaters. The theater is clean and well kept and I have never had a problem here. Just try to use public transportation when you come here or else you'll end up paying for parking if you stay over the time of the movie. more

Watch a movie 1/14/2006

These theaters are located inside of the Century Mall. They are very well kept and its always fun to go here. They have lots of different movies playing all the time and they are played throughout the day. Its priced pretty much the same as all the other theaters in the area. One of the good things about this place is that it has its own parking structure, so parking is never a hassle to find here. more

Great for Independent Films 7/29/2005

This is a really unique theatre, from its architecture, to the food it offers, and the films it shows. This theatre specializes in limited release independent and foreign films. It is a great choice if you're getting sick of mainstream dramas, thrillers, and the like. There is a wide variety of films here to pique anyone's interest. The prices are not cheap at this art house but the unique films are worth it. For those looking for a bargain discounted showtimes are offered. The arrangement of the theaters, it should also be noted, is very bizarre. The house spirals with theater locations scattered at various points. Can be kind of unnerving for anyone who's never set foot in there before. An adjoining parking garage is available. In itself it's not very cheap but you can get your movie ticket stamped to get a discounted theater rate. Overally - highly recommended. more

Editorial

  • The Theater
The seven theaters are small but first-rate, with wall-to-wall screens, stadium seating and high-backed chairs with cupholders. The layout is confusing, to say the least, but...
