Best

This is my favorite place to see a movie. I love everything about it from the popcorn, to the seating, to the selection of movies playing. Pros: seating, selection of movies, ...

Kendall is good. 8/10/2009

Lots of reviews for this cinema. I love Kendall Square Cinema in Cambridge. They do not have blockbuster movies. They have independant movies, international movies in spanish, french and many other languages. They have subtitles. The Cinema is small but good. The staff is not very diverse, it's mostly white and I remember seeing only one asian girl last time I was there. I tried their brownies it was not too bad. The cinema and the restrooms are clean they are located on the second floor. They have hand dryers in the restrooms it's good for the environment and the trees. Truereview here to tell you the truth. more

The Kendall 9/30/2006

Movie watching at the Kendall Square movie theater is a great experience. Gourmet food is available in the lobby and the popcorn seems to also strive, and almost succeed!, in reaching the same high standards. Most of the movies that play here are art house movies that are hard to find elsewhere. Unfortunately, movies here are just as expensive as any other first run theater (about ten per person). The other problem is that it is quite a walk from the T if you are using public transportation-much of it in a fairly deserted area of Cambridge. There is a shuttle that will take you there but its schedule doesn't seem to be followed. Overall, a great place to catch a movie in the Boston area. more

Indie Film for All 4/16/2006

I don't head out the movies much, but I always enjoy coming to Kendall Square. When you're sick of watching mainstream movies dominated by the large Loews theaters in town, then you need to come here and get your Indie fix. They always have a good selection of movies. The only downside is that the theater's a bit out of the way for most people, and movie tickets as always are expensive. However, it makes for a good night out. more

independent movies 1/17/2006

If you want to watch french movie, i think this is the right cinema to visit. This cinema is near my office so I usually spend a Friday night to watch here. You can also take a free bus from Kendall Sq subway station to here. The theater is quit and not to crowded, that is why i like it. If you like independent movies or other country movies, you should visit this theather. The theather also really comfy and cozzy. more

For the "non-hollywood" movies 8/31/2005

This theater is the best place to watch indie films and foreign flicks (which I am a big fan of). It's a short walk from the T and it's newer and cleaner than most theaters more

Great place to see indie and foreign films 8/28/2005

Kendall Cinema tends to have the most independent and eclectic selection of films of any of the Boston-area cinemas, and it does a good job picking top-quality movies. Many foreign films and documentaries are only shown there. Parking in the garage next door is affordable. The individual movie theatres are not huge, but not shoeboxes. more

A centrally located theater showing mostly independent and foreign films! 8/17/2005

I love the Kendall Square Cinema! It is located right near Kendall Square in Cambridge. I usually take the T and walk, but I do believe there is parking available. There is also a free shuttle bus called "The Wave" that will bring you from Kendall Station on the Red Line to the movie theater (the bus also stops at the Cambridgeside Galleria (Mall) for a day of shopping and movie!). It is sad to me that, very quickly, all the great movie theaters in the Boston area seem to have been scooped up by major chains and are now showing only blockbusters. I love that Kendall has maintained its character, at least for the time being, and is still showing quality films. I love discovering the next great movie here -- I hope you will as well! more

Flicker 8/15/2005

In the mood for a good indy movie? This is for you. Kendall square theatre boasts several screens full of good, lesser known movies. On the weekends it can sell out quickly so be sure to but tickets in advance. Parking is free with validation at a garage next door and it is also accesible by the Kendal T Station on the Red Line more
