We took our car in for transmission work, gambling that they could rebuild it for less than the dealer would charge to install a new one. They took six weeks to rebuild it twice and sent it home with us. Two days later there was still clearly a problem. The second rebuild took two weeks and two more rebuilds. We took the car home again. The next day the problem was back; the car was undrivable. The "repair" ended costing as much as a complete replacement, $3k.
At that point we took the car in to the dealer, and had to pay another $3k just to make the car drivable again. I am now fighting with them to refund our money.
It is the height of irony that they used to be called Lake City Transmission, the transmission experts, and are now called Reliable Auto Care. In my opinion they are neither. Stay far away from this business. They will take your money and fix nothing.
Cons: Unreliable, slow, ultimately didn't fix the problem
