Great small water park for kids 10/3/2006

My friend and I have been going to Lake Lytal for the last couple of summers. They have a great little water park for kids. It's really geared more for kids that are probably 5 years old and under. They have just recently closed for the winter but open back up in March or April. It's only $3 for adults and my children(3 1/2 and 11 months) were free! We take a lunch and spend a few hours there. It's a great place for little ones to have fun in the water. more

Nice family place to hang out 9/20/2005

This is one of my family's favorite places to go for a cheap, fun day out. There's a fun playstructure for my toddlers. They love going down the slide and swimming around the water-- it's only about 1.5 feet deep at it's deepest. There's also a bunch of interactive gears and water spouts/waterfalls that the kids love. For the older crowd, there's a great lap pool as well as a waterslide and diving boards. more

cool off here 8/19/2005

This is a nice pool to go to with the familiy or on your own. I like to swim laps so it's nice to go there. It's not usually crowded when I go. I also bought a pass where you pay for 2 entries in advance, so you get a bit of a break in price... not that it's that expensive. But since I thoguht I'd be going a lot, I figured I might as well save a little. I also take my two kids there. There is a playground-type structure with interactive spigots, slides, tunnels and waterfalls. It's a lot of fun for the little ones since the water is only about 1.5 feet deep at it's deepest. At the lap pool, there's a spiral waterslide for the bigger kids. more

Great place to cool off 8/14/2005

I was here for the first time last week, and it was great! (Except for the near hour we had to wait due to lightning sightings in the area.) Once we got back into the water though.....fun, fun, fun! My sister's kids love the water anyway, but this is more than that--it's basically a playground set in a shallow pool. There's a slide and various water spouts that you can control as well as a tube-thing you can crawl through. For the toddler set, this place is awesome! For the adults, Lake Lytal also has a lap pool, from what I could see it was Olympic-sized. I think there's dive boards as well, but I could be wrong. They have showering facilities/changing areas in the restroom as well. more

Fun and inexpensive fun for toddlers 8/11/2005

I haven't been there this year, but we went a few times last summer. This is a public pool. Beside the huge lap pool, there is a mini water park for children. It is basically a small playground and wading pool in one. If you are familiar with the West Palm Beach area, there is a water park called Rapids. That oneis huge. Then, in ROyal Palm Beach, there is Calypso Bay, which is smaller than Rapids, but still has much to offer kids. Lake Lytal's "mini water park" is smaller than Calypso Bay's playpark. I would say it is more for children under 5 or 6 years old. I wish they would enforce it, too because sometimes it gets crowded and if you're a strong enough swimmer, you should play in the big lap pool and leave the kiddie area for the small non-swimmers. more
