4 for $10 margaritas = awesome! 3/16/2011

I read some of the previous reviews from 2002 and made me laugh. I'm going to sum it up for you. Friendly wait staff, awesome vibe and best of all 4 for $10 margaritas!!!! I am vegetarian and was glad to see that they offer vegetarian choices. My favorite is the garden burrito (comes with tasty avocado sauce)! =) Def. Recommend! more

Lovely service, great food! 3/16/2011

I have got to say that I loved their food! I walked in and I could hear great Mexican music and was greeted by a young lady. When I sat I automatically wanted to taste their chips and salsa, I have got to say the salsa was perfect! (I like not too spicy salsas) I was greeted by the waiter which was very nice and helpful. My meal was brought out in less than 15 minutes which was impressive since they were really busy. I ordered a combination plate which had a little bit of everything. It was delicious. Best green chili I have ever had! I will definitely recommend everyone I know! Thanks Laguna's more

Lagunas - delicious!! 3/31/2010

I have been going to Lagunas for over 9 years! It has the best mexican food ever! You can go and have lunch in about 30 minutes or less and spend about $10 per person including the soft drink, chips and salsa, and your entree, what a deal!\r \r When i read the other reviews on here I was dissappointed, A) Obviously they speak English or else how did they help you? I was there today, March 31st, 2010 and EVERYONE spoke english. The service is amazing and they always make me feel very welcomed! Although they can get very busy, the food is very delicious and well obviously they would not be in service today if their service and food was not good. \r \r Pros: casual environment, friendly staff, nice theme more

Lagunas - Worst Mexican Food Around 3/20/2008

I went to Lagunas for lunch and must say the food was terrible. I went with a larger group, and instead of bringing everyone's lunch at the same time, they brought two plates at a time, then waited 5 minutes, then two more plates came out. \r \r Once the food arrived, it was less than edible. The chicken meat for the Chicken Taco was possibly the worst I've ever eaten (all I could stomach was 1 bite). No flavor for the rest of the meat as well. Yuck. Avoid Lagunas at ALL costs. Pros: nothing Cons: food, service, atmosphere. more

Good lunch spot in Downtown Denver. 2/29/2008

Great open-faced soft tacos. People from my office go there at least once a week and are always pleased with the food. The staff is friendly and the service has always been good. more

Tasty Chips and Salsa 9/18/2002

They're chips and salsa are tasty, and with frequent refills, you're never left empty. Large selection of dishes allow everyone to find something. By far, my favorite mexican restaurant in Denver. Pros: Chips and Salsa, Fast service, Friendly staff Cons: No after dinner mints more

Laguna's: a great reason to skip lunch. 7/18/2002

My experience at Laguna's was less than enjoyable: management should consider: 1) hiring a semi-competent waitstaff, and 2) hiring people who speak English. I haven't been so inconvenienced trying to spend money in ten years. Is it my responsibility to train the waitstaff while they're trying (and I use that term generously) to: 1) get my drink order right, and 2) remember to deliver the drink, halfway through the meal (which smelled like sewage, by the way). I'm sorry to say I paid money for a lunch platter of which I ate two bites. I've seen teenage slackers at fast food restaurants with more competence and frendliness than Laguna's. I'm contemplating contesting the charges to my credit card for the ""meal,"" because I feel as though I've been taken. I wanted to speak to a manager, but finding someone capable which speaks English is evidently not in the Laguna's style. Pros: none, none, none Cons: incompetent waitstaff, nearly inedible food, service? what servic more
