My Favorite Mexican Restaurant in Round Rock!! 1/29/2012

La Margarita is one of the best mexican restaurants in Round Rock. I've dined here multiple times with friends and family and everytime, everyone in our party is always satisfied with their dining experience. Unlike other mexican restaruants in the area, their Margaritas are made from scratch and never watered down. I highly recommened anyone who is in the area to definitely give La Margarita a try. I promise you won't be disappointed. more

Re : food poisoning at wedding (outcome) 9/16/2011

In regards to my last review a lot has changed and I would like to take the time to say that I now, am a very pleased and satisfied customer. The GM Mr. Eli Aviles took care of this situation, he met with us, offered his sincerest apology as well as reimbursed for some of the catered food and gave out complimentary gift cards for the number of people that were affected. He was very professional and sincere, I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. The owners were very quick to respond directly to myself and extremely helpful. They did what they said they were going to do and within a 24 hr window things were handled professionally and satisfactorily. I am very pleased for the outcome of this and look forward to going to this establishment again. They are very conscientious with their work and customer satisfaction. I have no problems referring them to anyone. Job well done La Margarita. Sincerely, Five Thumbs Up more

Great Margarita's Great Quesadillas 8/4/2010

Order the quesidillas with fried spinach. You wont be disappointed. Home made tortillas, need I say more. If you are north bound out of Austin, this is your last stop for good Mexican Food. more

great everything 2/9/2010

fajitas are the best around and their tortillas are not like gorditas or crispy chalupas like other places. they have the best tex-mex food for me. service is good, atmosphere is great and prices are not bad either. weekends are way too busy for me, so try them during the week. Pros: best fajitas and tortillas Cons: parking more

Okay Food 2/5/2010

Their food was just okay. Pros: Good atmosphere Cons: Food just okay more

Great food, great atmosphere, great prices 11/4/2009

Went here last night after reading all positive reviews. Got seated and served drinks right away. Then got the usual basket of chips (they were warm!!) and great salsa, but also a few of their homemade tortillas. EXCELLENT! I got the Panchita and hubby got the chicken fajitas. Both were outstanding. The chicken has this unique smoked flavor that is out of this world, the guac was super fresh and delicious, and did I mention the tortillas?? Check out this place. You will not be dissapointed. Pros: Best tortillas and guac I've ever had Cons: Its not right next to my house more

Best Mexican Food Around!!! 10/15/2009

Ever since I first ate lunch here at La Margarita, it fast became my all time favorite Mexican food restaurant. The wait staff is always friendly, the food is always great and I could literally drink their salsa, if they would let me. I have introduced this place to many friends who were addicted from the first bite. Rock on La Margarita! Don't change a thing! Pros: Everything is good!!! Including the prices! Cons: Can't get there often enough! more

Great Fajitas 11/28/2008

This place rocks. The beef fajitas are among some of the best I have ever eaten. They also have this green sauce you have to ask for that is ground up jalapenos I think. It is very spicy. It is simply awesome. Pros: great food, great margaritas Cons: little noisy more

best in town for me 11/4/2008

If you give this place a bad review you do not know about tex-mex. they are one of the best restaurants in town, yea you might get a new server and the service might not be great but 99% of the time is good food and good service. i dine in there weekly and cannot remember a bad meal or bad service. weekends are kinda of crazy due to them being so busy, so try to beat the crowd before 6pm. more

Not worth a second visit 10/17/2008

My wife and I were curious about the place simply by its flashy exterior. It seems that the owners have done a very good job catering to the majority of people that think that Mexican food is chips and watery salsa; or diluted cheese enchiladas. If you are looking for good Mexican food then should look elsewhere. Pros: Nice construction Cons: Bad service, Mediocre Food more

Horrible Hostesses 8/1/2008

Pretty decent fajitas. The waiter was good when we finally got there. Hostesses originally stated a 45 minute wait. We checked with hostesses about 55 minutes into waiting. We were informed there were 2 more in front of us. However, after watching 10 tables get sat in the next 40 minutes we inquired again to find there were only 3 tables in front of us now. I don't know if the laws of mathematics were reversed and 3 is less than 2, but the hostesses seemed to believe that 3 is less than 2. Their excuse was that they accept call-ins, so you can obviously go in, ask for a table, then call in and get yourself sat before your original place in line. If that works for you, try it, otherwise don't waste your time. Complete lack of organization and professionalism. more

This is our favorite! 7/5/2008

My family has been eating at La Margarita for over 10 years now, since they were in the old ratty building! The service, quality of food and overall experience has always been fantastic. It's a great place for large gatherings, romatic dinners, lunch getaways from the office and even for takeout on those nights you just don't want to get dressed up to go out. Pros: Simple, tasty food; Energetic atmosphere, but quiet enough for a date or lunch; Friendly service Cons: Long waits during peak times (they don't take reservations, but they do call-ahead seating!) more

Thumbs way down! 6/21/2008

I would never suffer through a meal at this place again. The service is horrible, the food is less than average and the management there does not care about their customers experience. This place had the audacity to tack on an 18% gratuity and then make themselves look good by giving a 10% discount for our dis-satisfaction. I've been here twice with my family, both experiences were horrible - won't ever go back. more

Best Margaritas Around! 4/1/2008

I've been hearing for years that Baby A's was the place to go for great margaritas. I must say that I strongly disagree. La Margarita has THE BEST margaritas. I absolutely love them. Pros: Great food and drinks. Great for family dining. more

move in special 3/1/2008

we just moved into a house and ordered fajitas and an appetizer sampler to go. Convenient, food was good even after we got it home. Price was $60 for 6 people. Fabulous dinner for hanging out friends on your first night in your new home. more

Wonderful Food 2/6/2008

Absolutely THE BEST Mexican food in Texas!!! Food is all made fresh with best cuts of meat. The Avocado Sorpressa is to die for!!! Service is always fast and friendly. more

mmm 1/23/2008

First of all I don't see how anyone could give this well known local establishment a bad review. La Margarita is situated in a beautiful building complete with well decorated decor. The food is so good especially the Fajitas. Some of my other favorite dishes include the Chipolte Chicken which is simply divine, the Shrimp Diablo are yummy, and don't forget to try the flan for a complete meal. The Margaritas are really tasty and so are the Mexican Martinis. Now I know where the place gets its name. Pros: everything! Cons: n/a more
