Best

I love La Bella for several of all the right reasons! They have been in Chula Vista for as long as I can remember. We use to go to La Bella or Mona Lisa after the football games b...

Worst

I've been going to la Bella's since I was a kid. It's hard to see your favorite place just slowly change, and just keep on getting worse. Very bad service, like once I ordered piz...

Ruined birthday party! 10/10/2007

What can I say? I have been a patron of this family owned business for over 25 years. Unfortunately, I would have to say that the dedication to customer service and good food is gone. I placed a deposit on a party room for my daughter's 12th birthday and it was a disaster. The management and staff were rude, placed the blame on me and never once apologized for the inconvenience. I will never go back! more

Disappointment 7/6/2007

What can I say about La Bella's? The Management were uncaring and lazy, one of the managers who was off was at the bar drunk. Unprofessional. The Cashiers were goofing off and not helping customers and talking around the corner while phones and customers waiting. Food Was Horrible. The Pizza Was Heavy and like sold by the pound. Cheap Ingrediants. Dirty Kitchen. Sandwiches are Gross and use cheap meats. No One washes hands. I came with my daughter to pick up a pizza, the order was not made, so we waited for 20 minutes, still nothing, talked to manager, he left to figure it out, says was not made, poor service. Walked across the street to dominoes, got pizza in 10 minutes. This Resturant is very run down and poor, they don't care about the quality or service, just about the volume of business, so customer suffers. more

Great for take out 11/15/2005

A lot of people have told me about La Bela's. I decided to try it one day with the wife. To my surprise we went there it was crowed. There was no seating in back anywhere. We sat in front an a stool. We decided to get a to go order. Our order took a long time, busy of course, but it was worth the wait. When we got home the Italian meal was fantastic. I had the Calsoni, and my wife had a personal pizza. The helping are big and when take a bite you get a great authentic Italian taste. Oh I forgot to mention that night there were a lot of private parties going on. I would suggest this Restaurant for any occasion. What I would say to you is that all the food is good and we go every so often and most people know about it around town:) more

The Cheesier the Better 9/2/2005

If you have read more than one review of mine, you'll see that cheese is a big deal. I like melted cheese on just about anything. Even vegetables like broccoli and cauliflower become imminently more edible when slathered in cheese. But, I digress. La Bella's has great food at prices a whole family can afford without taking out a 2nd mortgage. The Baked Manicotti is one of my favorites, manicotti stuffed with ricotta, bathed in zesty tomato sauce, then baked covered in a sea of mozzarella cheese which bakes up all crispy and gooey and delicious. Add a meatball the size of a softball, some garlic bread, and a side salad, and it will only set you back $5.50 for a great and filling meal. Big open rooms with big tables - great for groups or families. A friendly family owned place which has been around for about 40 years. If you haven't tried it, you're missing out. more

Fun night 8/14/2005

While randomly driving around downtown Chula Vista, my girls and I decided to try some pizza that we heard about: La Bella Pizza Garden. It's a cozy place. Of course it gets crowded dinner, but I can't blame them. We started with appetizers-- Seasoned Cheese Fries which were superb! And their Jalapeno Poppers, which I found to be similar to other Jalapeno Poppers you can buy at..Jack in the Box (or something like that). When the pizza came, it was FRESH and great! I don't know what's in the cheese or crust, but I'd take this over Pizza Hut anytime! The service was fine too. Our waitress was there when we needed refills and always checking to see how we were doing. Plus, they have a bar and an upstairs place to hang out. Usually that's where a band plays. So, if you're bored with nothing to do and hungry, check out La Bella Pizza Garden. The wait may be long come dinner time, but it's worth it. more
