The food was good but the service was REALLY slow. All in all, I would still recommend it. Try the bread pudding for dessert. more

What a special secret rendezvous 9/11/2002

Dining in old town Los Angeles, tucked away on a busy main street. This is truly a gem of a restaurant. Wonderful food served up in style. Fabulous variety of unique mexican dishes. Highly recommend. Pros: wonderful Cons: crowded, moderately expensive more

Good tortillas, but not much else 9/5/2002

Being from Houston - home of some of the best Mexican Food in the nation - I thought this place would wow me, based on the recommendations we got from locals. WRONG! The food lacked flavor and spices - everything was bland, the carne asada was stringy and tough, and the salsa I swear was poured out of a Pace Picante jar. I will give them props on their fresh tasting corn tortillas, though. Also, not all items on the menu were available. Other than that, I nor the rest of my party was impressed. Pros: Good Corn Tortillas Cons: Bland Food, Crowded, Street Parking more
