Best

I have been to La Paz several times over the past few months, and each time is always so much fun. I love beer, and for $2 you can upgrade to a 34oz "man mug" as they call it! I m...

Worst

Went here 4 an early x-mas party (reservations of course) when we arrived we were looked over (finding out later) due to the fact that our table wasn't ready and they were extreme...

good margaritas, bad food 7/19/2006

bland and boring... cute place though. I would only recommend the pazarita margarita with tortilla chips and salsa selection. Pros: margaritas, patio Cons: bland unimaginative food, hard to find parking more

Not authentic 9/5/2005

Based on word of mouth, maybe my expectations were a little high for this restaurant being called the best Mexican restaurant in Charlotte. Being from Texas and experiencing the real stuff, this wasn't it. The service was good, but everything else was just ok. It's not authentic, nor is it Tex-Mex, so I'm not sure how I would categorize it, but I won't be going back. more

Charlotte's BEST Mexican Food 4/26/2005

La Paz has been a longtime family favorite of ours, since they were on Providence to today on South Blvd. The ambiance is great and the food is even better. I reccomend trying their Zapnin and their Green Salsa is a MUST!!! This place does not disappoint. more

Perfect! 5/17/2004

Wonderful service, cool atmosphere and delicious, delicious food! I have become a regular there. Never been disappointed. The food is so good, it's worth a little extra money. Pros: Great Service, Great Food, Great View more

La Paz 11/5/2003

Perfect in every way. Not "greasy-spoon" Mexican food at all. Great to sit outside on the patio! Be sure to order the "green salsa" more

Tex-Mex at it's best in NC 12/29/2002

Being from Houston, Tex-Mex is the heart and soul of American "Mexican" food - La Paz does this very well. The beans are really refried for flavor, the fajitas are grilled, as they should be, and whopping large portions make take-homes great. The atmosphere is nice; been there on a busy night and a slooow Sunday afternoon. It beats a small taqueria when you want to eat somewhere nice. All in all, very satisfying. Pros: great food, reasonable pricing, presentation good Cons: parking!, parking, parking more
