Great shirts - exactly to my specifications, fit perfectly, great material. Friendly customer service, unpretentious space. Only issue is that my shirts took 6 weeks to come - I was told that this was a rare occurrence, but to be kept in mind if you need shirts in a hurry. more

I had a positive experience and the products I received from LS carry a higher dollar value than I paid - which ultimately is the goal for me.\r \r I explained my situation to Izzy - which is that I have a large chest & small back, such that a 40? chest fits the chest but is huge on the back, etc. So he evaluates me and tells me something I didn?t know - which is that my back curves in such a way that measurements don?t tell the full story. He gave me three options: a $370 rack suit that most people wouldn?t notice didn?t fit me quite well, a made to measure suit that would fit almost perfectly, and a bespoke suit that would achieve perfection.\r \r At 25, i went with the middle option - which is NOT cheap at $700 for someone with the privilege to graduate college in 2008. But that suit is now my magic interview suit.\r \r I?m happy with my product given that the material is not significantly different than something you?d see at Brooks Brothers and fits me beautifully.\r \r It more

I have to disagree with Matt222. I have always been notoriously difficult to fit (short, thick neck, broad chest, narrow waist, uneven sloped shoulders and short t-rex arms) and I can't even attempt to get anything off the rack and tailored, even at the high end retailers. I have tried various custom tailors around the city to mixed results at best, but then some friends recommended Izzy and LS and I am completely sold. My suit looks amazing and fits perfectly after only the second fitting and the shirts are tremendous. And unlike some of the other shops I have tried, the turnaround time is remarkably fast. Been looking for a custom clothing store in the NY city area for 3 years. Tried a slew of places and always had complaints on the fit, or fabrics. A friend of mine recommended I go to LS so I figured may as well give it a try. to begin with, picking materials were fairly simple. I had someone help me through all the different fabrics so I didnt need to sift through the ones that werent an option. Next, Izzy measured me told me the latest "looks" helped me go through all the different options that I would have, down to the inside pocket buttons. 2 weeks later I was back for another fitting and 4 days after that I picked up my new suit. I have dry cleaned the suit a few times since then and have seen no puckering (something I saw in all the other companies). Of all my suits this is the one I get the most comments on. I have sent many of my friends to the store and will be back there the next time I need a new suit. more

I have gone to a few places for a made to measure suit. Ls mens was by far the best. Quick (only went twice had my suit in less than 3 weeks), Helpful (Had a young women sit with me and help me choose the best material for my needs), fit was perfect (I have sloped shoulders and a bit of a hunched back so I am not the easiest fit and it looks great couldnt ask for a better fit). Once I saw how well the suits came out I ordered about 10 new shirts. What impressed me was that Izzy recommended I order one shirt first, see how I like it and then he would place the rest of my order, this way I was able to make sure it was perfect. The price of the shirts were cheaper than me going to a regular store and buying them off the rack and believe me they looked much nicer. more

About 7 months ago I got married and needed a tuxedo. A friend of mine who I was discussing the matter with suggested I go to Izzy for a custom tux. I was skeptical because Ive never bought anything custom and figured it was too expensive. When I got there Izzy was helpful and patient with me as he explained which material and style works for me. A few weeks later I picked up the tux and it was truly a thing of beauty! \r \r The best part was that it was less than $800. My experience was great and I even went back to buy a suit recently. I spent 2 hours in the store picking fabric and styles (now that I know a little more). Izzy was nothing but patient and professional. i don't know what happened to the previous customer, but based on my experience and the other reviews I have to imagine it didn't happen exactly as she said. I've been to a ton of tailors in Manhattan over the years. I didn't believe the hype at first (particularly based on the amount of overwhelming positive feedback he received on this site) and then I went to LS. This guy Izzy is excellent. I had sport coats, suits and shirts made there in the last few months. You will not get better pricing on any of the aforementioned products particularly for the quality of materials this guy has in house...Here is why he stands out...he spotted a smudge on one of my sport coats and wouldn't let me leave without getting it out. He talked me out of buying a more expensive suit because he was relucant about the quality of the material. He made alterations more than 4 times to get the fit that I was in search of. He was willing to talk to his vendors to drive down the cost if I liked a certain material that was outside of my price range. He is patient, knowledgeable, and opinionated (which is an attribute for a tailor). Trust me...Try this guy out...you will not be disappointed. Pros: Quality, Price, Service Cons: none more

I've lived in Manhattan for quite a few years and only wish I had found LS Men's Clothing earlier. They recently made a Hickey Freeman suit for me and I love it. I recently got hired for a new job after having lost mine about a year ago. I decided to upgrade my look and after hearing about LS Mens Clothing from many of my old co-workers I figured why not give it a shot. I must say I was pleased with the service and promptness of delivery. Not only was I able to get measured and fit from the owner of the store, someone who has many years experience in the industry, he sat with me and helped me decide which patterns best fit my build. I was impressed that Izzy reccomended I start with 1 suit a few shirt and 1 sport jacket, to see how I liked the fit before ordering more (most owners would be pushy and just want to sell the most they can). I was introduced to LS in 1994 when I was a second-year law student at NYU. Having been lured in the past by "discount designer" clothing sales and "designer warehouses" only to discover poor quality garments priced as they should have been, I was skeptical when I made my first trip to LS. LS, however, is the real deal. The same Hickey Freeman suits one finds at Nordstrom and other retailers are offered here for half the price and, sometimes, less. Hickey Freeman only makes two or three suit models, year in, year out. There is really no such thing as last year's leftovers in this upscale brand. And as if the selection of Hickey Freeman weren't enough, LS also accumulates thousands of yards of the finest suit fabrics and makes them available for the most reasonably priced custom suits in the country. The outside tailors who make the custom suits are the very same ones used by some of the most expensive men's shops in the City. What this means is that one can buy the exact same 100% custom suit from LS for around $1,000 that can be found elsewhere for $3,000-$4,500....same fabric, same tailor shop...exactly the same suit. So, whether you want an off-the-rack Hickey Freeman suit for half price or a custom suit for an even smaller fraction of its ususal price, LS is a must visit. The number of high powered executives and profesionals who know the LS secret is staggering. I visit LS a couple of times a year and almost never fail to see at least one senior partner from a top five Am Law 100 law firm being fitted for a suit. The smartest New York money shops at LS -- shouldn't you? The selection is terrific, the service is second to none and the prices can't be beaten. If LS were a public company, I'd be a stockholder.
