Best

Anyone who doesn't like this everyday bistro is nuts. We go there 2 times a month and the food and service is top notch. Lunch is great too, but the service part is a bit lacking...

Worst

This place has deteriorated . The staff and owner are loud and rudely talk at the bar. THE BRANZINO WAS SOME OTHER FISH AND NOT GOOD AT THAT. IT TOOK FOREVER TO GET THE FOOD AND M...

Surly service, mediocre--and therefore overpriced--food. Full of the blue-hair crowd. more

Wonderful! 12/1/2004

I stumbled upon this restaurant accidently, and it has since become my favorite French restaurant. The prices are very reasonable, great wine list, and very delicious food. The wait staff are all French and you really feel like you have been transplanted to Paris. more

Authentic! 5/11/2004

The food was some of the best I have had outside of France. Good profiteroles are hard to find here in the U.S. and they made them perfectly! Good wines too. Not to mention a great owner who is friendly and speaks fluent French as well as the other waiters! Honestly, felt like I was in Paris, the ambience is very authentic. Pros: Typical French, Good Food, Nice staff more

The best French food 11/20/2003

When my boyfriend's family visits us from France, we eat here for at least one meal a day. They LOVE it. It's the best french food I've had in LA. It's small, and sometimes loud, but the food is fabulous more

Oui oui, my favorite restaurant! 12/19/2002

Yum, if you are in the mood for decacence, this palce serves it up. Perfect streak frites(entrecote), delicate baked chocolate mousse, wonderful and fresh salads-especially the caprese. I love this place, great food, cozy, warm ambiance. Top it all of with a bottle of great wine. Highly Underrated restaurant, it's one of my favorites, perfect for those with discerning tastebuds. Perfection every time. pate and tapas appetizers on the house aren't bad either. Pros: Perfect food, Cozy, Intimate more

Go For The Food People 11/24/2002

Uh, YUM. Food was delicious! I had the blackened salmon and it was soooo good. Highly recommend it for the food, tasty. It is crowded and loud, so don't go there if you are looking for a quite evening. But, if you want tasty French food, check it out, well worth it and priced just right. Pros: Food, Food, Food Cons: Layout, Noise, Crowded more

Ooh LA LA! 10/31/2002

I have loved eating at Le Petit Bistro for awhile. I have the pleasure of living close enough to walk there. The menu hasn't changed for ever but the consistancy is reliable. The roasted chicken and the steak are always great. I love the appetizer list and I always have a hard time choosing from it. Great desserts and they have a half bottle of GREAT champagne that is affordable! The salad special with hearts of palm is fantastic. Pros: Consistent, cozy, wine list Cons: tiny tables more

Dee-lish (but crowded) 5/21/2002

The food here was excellent and the atmosphere definitley reminded me of being back in France. For those who need a lot of elbow room while dining, I would not recommend this restaurant. Part of the fun here is eating in close proximity to others in a lively and homey setting. I had the roasted chicken with frites and some sort of chocolate mousse for dessert and was impressed. My companion had an appetizer of smoked salmon which was out of this world. more
