I've been a member here for over 20 years. Don't expect clean gym floors, locker rooms, regular refurbishment, or 100% operable equipment. What you can expect is a really pleasant staff, competent trainers, and most equipment working most of the time. This is a middle to lower middle class club. You'll see cab drivers, truck drivers, car salesmen and retired guys here. I pay roughly $200 a year dues, about $18 a month. For that I get unlimited access to Powerflex & Total Body Workout classes, and weight, basketball, racquetball, and spinning facilities. I can easily afford more upscale Eastside places like BAC or Samena, but why? Ballys is the best bang for the buck.
