I can not begin to tell you how pleased we were with L and Jay Productions for our daughter wedding. From the initial consultation to the wedding day they were there for us. They partnered with us to develop a vision for every aspect of the venue from the wedding site to the reception. They were always very prepared for each appointment which meant a lot since we came from out of town. They were very aware of our budget so there were no surprises or miscommunications. We received so many compliments on the florals. All of the flowers used were very fresh and vibrant. The maid of honor was so impressed with them so booked them for her wedding in April. Thanks Lee and Jonathan for making our daughter's wedding beautiful! more

I have been following the ongoing dispute on various sites surrounding the Phillips wedding. I have been a friend of the Phillips for years and I know they are wonderful people. I personally was shocked when I saw the flowers at their wedding, everything else was so perfect. As pictures on the various sites show, many were old and wilted. As I walked up to the venue, I saw shepard’s hooks with more flowers on the ground then on the hook. Now after reading the comments from Amber below, everything is clear, the florist ignored the Phillips wedding completely. It is a shame that they received an inferior product, but I am sure the Phillips are happy that Amber had a beautiful wedding. Just look at the picture, they tell the story. more

Lee and Jon at L and Jay literally SAVED my wedding day!!! My husband and I got married on Oct 6 2012 (it was the day of the monsoon in Memphis) and my wedding was outside. We moved everything under the tent and what they turned the tent into took my breath away. They literally cut small trees down and hung beautiful roses from the branches so I did not have to get married just in front of a stage in the tent (where only the reception was going to take place) I felt like they made my day (what could’ve been a disaster) into the best wedding anyone could ask for. From the first appt. to the last flower arrangement they placed on our tables, they were honestly AMAZING and I would recommend them 100 times over!!!! more

I highly recommend this company. They did absolutely gorgeous floral work for my friends wedding. Her family was very pleased with how organized, creative, and professional L and Jay Productions were. She has nothing but positive things to say regarding the company! more

LandJay have done many arrangments for me over the years. Very talented crew. Very creative. They just came and decorated for a Christmas party that was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend these guys. Many years of experience. Very reliable. Two thumbs up!! more

I have worked for L & Jay Productions for about 12 years and have helped with hundreds of weddings and events in that time. Most of the staff have been with them for that long or longer . One thing I would tell future brides is that when you hire L & Jay Productions you are getting the whole staff , not just Lee and Jon. The entire staff are capable and willing to do whatever it takes to make your event a success, but we can not read minds. So, if you have a staff member in front of you asking what can I do ?, please tell them. We want to make you happy . more

I found a few wedding that L and Jay did the same day as my daughters. Funny how they all used the same flowers and colors.....looking forward to seeing just how much they spent compared to our wedding. Thought we would have a unique experience with this florist but the uniqueness came from how bad our flowers looked and it shows in every part of the video/pictures. So sad we used these two. more

To added to other comments below: What an amazing disappointment. After our first few meeting we were amazed and they were superstars, five days before my daughters wedding all came crashing down. After we believed we had paid in full for everything, we received a bill for $4,500 on top of the $10,800 already paid. When a simple question for explaination was asked, both Johnathan and Lee became highly offended--we knew we were in trouble. The flowers presented at our wedding did not even resemble the mock-up shown in their office--at this poiint they are denying we saw an actual mock-up-funny we brought dresses, matched fabrics and held bouquets to something--we have the pictures. They ordered draping that was never actually installed for $500.00. While we experienced rain--no one from L and J offered alternate locations for the drapery and there were many placed to install the drapery--it layed on the ground in a loading area. They failed to install lights that were contracted for and paid for--now contend they were installed-- perhaps they intend to take credit for the lighting provided by our venue under a separate contract. They are currently hiding behind a no refund policy--having never complied with the contract terms. They are also hiding behind some sort of artistic license contract provision to excuse the major deviation from what was expected. Our flowers were wilted and we actually paid $400 for an arrangement with 14 roses and simple greenery. Johnathan made one appearance for a 7 minute walk through of our venue--now says we should not be upset because he had no contractual obligation to visit our venue at all. For $10,800 we deserved better. There is so much more to tell about our horrible experience. L and J Productions were a huge mistake. One thumbs down is not enough. more

very shocked of the negative reviews ....i used L and J and i was very pleased and so were the 2 other brides that i told about them. i'm not sure exactly why it was necessary to expose their personal finances....L and J were paid for a service and it was renedered! i dont understand why you would take flowers out of an arrangement after the fact and take pictures of them to give negative reviews, after a flower has been handled it will look bruised...anyway, i was very pleased and any event i have in the future you can best believe that L and J productions will be my florist!!!!! more

I work for a larger company here in town and I have done several events with L & J over the last few years, the largest event was for 700 and the most recent was for 200. They are a pleasure to work with, were flexible with my budget, professional and very creative. I always have people compliment me on how wonderful everything looks. I will always use them because they know how to make an event special . . . I highly recommend them!!!! Their creativity is second to none. more

L and J Productions has been around for a long time now and I have had the pleasure of working with them over 15years now. I have never seen a person more involved in there business than these two. I worked at the wholesale house that the gentleman mentioned that they had financial issues with. Just like any small busines, yes there was an issue; however, it was cleared up. They did NOT file a bankruptcy, they paid the debt. Now this says a lot because I have seen a lot of small business take the easy road. Even when this issue arrived they still used the wholsaler to buy product. Never did they try to run out and not pay. So I think that says a lot about their credibility. And on this particular day that was mentioned in the review, I was there...it rained the wedding was moved in the inside the brides bouquet was not made of peonies because just as the wedding party couldn't dictate the weather here the growers couldn't dictate the weather in Columbia. A wedding is very important to a bride I know because I had one. I am so sorry the bride decided she was not happy after the fact. Because while I was there I was under the impression that every thing was beautiful....there were some concerns about bistro tables and if I'm not mistaking flowers were not ordered for those. I thought it was a beautiful wedding myself, I wish she could have had it outside as planned. She was a beautiful bride and she had such a nice personality. I never would have known there was a problem. I recommend L and J Production! !!! They are the most talented people I've seen around. more

I must say I am very surprised and skeptical about the negative comments I see below. It is obvious that the situation is one that is very uncommon for L and Jay, and with the experience I have had with them, possibly one that has been based on some type of miscommunication. I work as a coordinator and L and Jay is my only recommended florist. I have used them for personal events and have had over 15 brides in the last 2 years work with them. Not only have I never heard a negative thing about them, I have never heard anything mediocre. Every bride I have talked to that has used them was thrilled and more than pleased with how their flowers turned out. I also know that if a bride does not get exactly what it was that she wanted, they will go out of their way to make sure that anything that needs to be is fixed and the bride is pleased. I would highly recommend this florist as a customer, and as a professional in the industry. more

I recently got married and used L and Jay as my florist. When we originally met with them I could not have been any happier. I was their biggest fan and told them I trusted their judgment completely. When we went back to see our mock ups I fell in love with them again, I even went as far as calling multiple friends to let them know just how fabulous my florist was. When the week of the wedding rolled around we had almost given them $11,000 and I don't know about you but I assumed my flowers were going to be immaculate for that price. On Tuesday before my wedding they sent us a new invoice that stated we now owed $4,500 on top of the $10,800 we had already given them. I became a little worried that day that my flowers were not going to be up to par but my parents and coordinator assured me that they would be great! When the wedding day rolled around my bridesmaids and I walked in to a small team setting up, we looked at the flowers and were floored. They were either brown around the edges, wilted or completely opposite of what we asked for. My bouquet which was supposed to be peonies and hydrangeas was straight roses (the one flower I asked them not to use). Luckily, one of my bridesmaid's mothers ran all around town to make me a new beautiful bouquet that was exactly what I wanted. With just a few hours before the wedding we finally saw Jonathan for the first time, he asked if my bouquet was fine and I just said it would work. What was I supposed to do right before the wedding? more

There are always two sides to every story and I do not believe for a second that L & Jay produced unacceptable work!!! John and Lee did my flowers for my wedding two years ago and they exceeded all of my expectations!!! From the first meeting to the wedding day, they kept me udated on everything and I continuously felt confident and excited about the bouquets and arrangements I would receive. I was so thrilled with the final product and it was even more beautiful than I had expected!!! The staff who work there were amazing as well!!! Since my wedding, I have recommended them to all of my family and friends for any event. I was extremely satisfied with their work and professionalism and will hire them for any event I may have in the future!!! more

Our wedding was perfect and every other vendor we chose was great. L & Jay were the worst. I was blown away by them at first but seriously lost all trust in them when they sent us a balance due 4 days before the wedding of over $4,500.00. I was under the impression that the $10,800.00 I had spent was completely paid in full as those were his words when my husband asked before leaving the meeting. Once they were questioned they got an attitude and thought we were being rude for even question them! The brides bouquet was contracted to be all peonies and she even told him she did not like roses. It arrived and it was nothing but roses. A dear friend went out to buy flowers just to redo the bridal bouquet since the bride specifically asked for no roses. Peonies and garden roses were expected and neither were found in any of the arrangements. You could see each layer of cake due to lack of hydrangas. I rented draping for $500 and it was never used. They charged me for $400 for uplighting and it was never used. I expected both to be there setting up since they were the ones that met with us each time. Jon showed up for all of 7 minutes. Once his crew left, I went around taking pictures and sent them via phone to Jon and he said ""Oh no we are coming back"" They were never coming back and they actually told people that they were done. The flowers were not fresh and the arrangements looked nothing like what I had seen in his office during our visit. I wish I had shopped around. I also have photos of flowers that looked as if they had been used days earlier just sitting on the ground. I truly believe that they had flowers from a previous event and just brought them to our wedding. When you hire someone you expect them to play a part in the end product. This did not happen, they were never there to oversee anything. Buyer beware.....$11,000 and the flowers were awful. Best advice is shop around! more

As many of you know, planning a wedding is very stressful!!! The owners, John and Lee, took so much of my stress away. They are wonderful people who will do whatever it takes to make your day special and BEAUTIFUL!!! Their work is so incredibly gorgeous! They are not only knowledgeable about flowers, but they have great recommendations for caterers and event planners as well. I will never use another florist for future events/parties! I would recommend L & Jay to anyone for any event!!! more

I was recommended by an old friend to use this florist, and I wasn't disappointed! In fact, they made my anniversary party MAGICAL! We had recently come back from Jamaica, and I had decided to use the tropical theme for our party. Jon was so knowledgeable and gracious during our meetings, and I appreciate all his help in making this party spectacular! He even referred me to a great party planner and rental company for tables and cloths! The flowers were so beautiful. Both my daughter and daughter-in-law have now used them for their weddings, and no one else could have made their wedding days more beautiful! If you are getting married, or just throwing a party you need to use L & Jay Productions! more

L & Jay were highly recommended to me by several of my friends! I am so glad I listened to their stellar advice! I wasn't really sure what type of flowers I wanted for my wedding, and only had a vague notion of how I wanted the whold day to look. Jon literally made my wedding day! He told me to bring in pictures of everything (and I mean everything!) I liked. He even helped me sort everything out! I was so overwhelmed with all the decisions I had to make, but Jon made the flower decisions easy!!! I know I called him a million times, but he always listened and alway reassured me. I can't tell y'all how much I will appreciate how fantastic he made my special day! I wish I could post pictures so everyone could see how absolutely beautiful my flowers were! If you're getting married....DEFINITELY use L & jay Productions! I wish there was a 10 STAR button!!! more

These guys were highly recommended to me from many people but turned out to be the worst vendor I worked with. They NEVER responded to emails or sent information until me waiting a couple weeks and asking for it multiple times. We had a demo to preview all the flowers and after making a couple adjustments the flowers were exactly what I wanted. I thought all the frustrations with the business aspect of this company would be all worth it and the flowers would make up for it. WRONG! The morning my mom picked them up, half of them were withered and almost dead. The bouquets and bouts were not at all what we discussed! What was the point of the demo!? Save yourself the frustration! more
