Best

thats the only thing i order. i try to order other stuff but i always need to have the laksa.

Worst

No big deal. It tastes more like chinese food than malaysian. Cheap decoration from home depot. If anyone wants to taste real malaysian food with trendy decoration, try penang...

you can go on-line to buy ingredients and cook at home 2/6/2009

Don't worry. You can order easy to prepare and ready to serve Malaysian food ingredients from www.asiansupermarket365 They have everything. more

BEWARE, Kuala Lumpur M'sia Rest is out of business... 3/29/2008

I was there 2 hours ago but this restaurant has been closed down / out of business. You do not want to waste your time to go there and find out they have been closed down. \r \r If you call their phone number (which is 626-577-5175), you will hear an automated message saying the line has been disconnected ""This phone is not in service"". Hope you guys read this message before departing or you will be disappointed like me... Try the Malaysian Restaurant near Redondo Beach, which I think is the best M'sian restaurant in Southern Cali (IMHO: in my humble opinion)\r more

Awesome Malaysian Restaurant 11/5/2005

Malaysian & Singaporean food are so similar that restaurnats like Kuala Lumpur, Yasmin & Nyonya (just to name a few) are all up there in my book. The food at Kuala Lumpur is as authentic as you can get being in the States. The rendangs, nasi lemaks, curries, satays, asam laksas are all favorites of mine. This place does not dissapoint. They used to be in a better location but they are now in a smaller space BUT the food is still exellent. It is very casual & non assuming. Decor is minimal but who cares. I'm going for the great food & service. If you want to have great Malaysian food and not break the bank doing it- this is the place! When you're done, you still have enough mula to go shopping on Colorado Blvd! Pros: Great food, Great service, Great value Cons: Small space more

a great find 6/21/2005

although the decor consists mainly of christmas tree lights and weird artwork it's the best malaysian restaurant in the area. the waiters are nice and they have the best drinks. i always bring my friends from out of town here. more

Great Malaysian Food 8/24/2004

Original Malaysian restaurant. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They have exceptional beef rendang and asam penang laksa. Their dried noodle and curry puffs however were well below average. Finding parking can be tricky but we think it's well worth the time. Pros: Original, Excellent service more

Been around and still around! 8/14/2004

They've been in business in Pasadena for more than a decade now. There's good reasons why they're still here...good food & good service, simple as that! This is their newer location, they used to be in the little shopping plaza behind Twin Palms and that was a much better location. The good thing about it is that the staff is still the same and the quality of their food remained the same! The food is authentic (Malaysian food is mostly Chinese influenced) but there are distinct differences between the two, Malaysian food is more spiced up...kinda in between Thai and Chinese. This is a good place for Malyasian food and I recommend it wholeheartedly. Not too far away, there's another fantastic restaurant in Alhambra named ""Yazmin"" and is absolutely delicious also. Pros: Service, Food Cons: , crowded, limited seating more
