Best

The pad Thai is awesome. Give it a try.

Worst

I was at this restaurant for new year?s eve, and the food was extremely horrible. It was cold with no taste. Too less quantity. The service sucked. I would never ever go there any...

GOOD FOOD BUT EXPENSIVE 4/12/2006

GOOD THAI FOOD. THEIR QUANTITY AND PRICE IS NOT REALLY GOOD. PAD THAI IS A GOOD ITEM AND THEIR GARLIC SHRIMP TASTES VERY GOOD. ALSO THEIR FRIED RICE IS VERY GOOD. PARKING SPACE IS VERY GOOD. SEATING CAPACITY IS VERY GOOD AND SERVICE IS ALSO VERY NICE. IF THEY CAN LOWER THEIR PRICE THEN OBVIOUSLY THIS IS THE PERFECT PLACE FOR THAI FOOD. more

WORST SERVICE EVER - COCKROACH - CONSUMERS FIGHT BACK!!! 3/9/2006

Had a cockroach in the Chicken Penang. Called the manager was not even apologetic about it. When they brought the bill - they had charged us for it, even though it had been sent back! Charged us!!! Leave aside complimentary ANYTHING!! The bill itself was sub-totaled with tax, and on this subtotal they charged us service tax of 15% for four people!!! Not only did they charge us for bad service but also inflated the subtotal to charge a tip on by including tax first. CHEATS. I bet they are doing this to everyone - no one ever notices!! Never brought water - when one of us went to ask for water, that person was sent back to find out (and report back to the waiter!!) how many wanted water with ice and how many water without ice!!! HORRRIBLE - DO NOT EVER GO HERE. CONSUMERS UNITE!!! more

Thai tonight 9/25/2005

There are two Krung Thai Restaurants on the same street. I love pretty much everything at both locations. But, if i have to pick, i would say i like the old location a bit better because it's like 0.1Mile closer to me...lol..j/k.. ..my favoriate dish is PAD SEE EW with meat of your choice. I tried the mango with sticky rice for dessert... it was okay, but, again, i'm picky on dessert. Well, I think "I love Krung Thai" can conclude my reivew more

For the best Pad Thai! 9/2/2005

Go here if you want to experience the best Thai cuisine! They give small meals, however, they are very good! The Pad Thai is exceptionally good. However, hey give little Thai ice tea...so don't order it. Order the Fried Banana Ice Cream because it is super good. It is the best Fried Banana Ice Cream I've ever had! It is very clean and muy delicious! They give small portion but it's worth every penny! This by far is the best best Thai cuisine in San Jose. You might get lost on the way there, but once you get there, it is so very worth it! I hope this helped and if you've had good food there please give me a comment! more

Best Pad Thai I've had in San Jose 8/23/2005

Krung Thai definitely has the best Pad Thai I've had in San Jose. With that said, I had a few problems there. * The chili powder was included on the side of the plate, and I inhaled some of it, which made for a very unpleasant experience. * The lime in my Diet Coke was funny-tasting. * They used crushed ice in the Thai Iced Tea and Thai Iced Coffee, which was strange I'm sure the other dishes at this restaurant are excellent also. more

Krung Thai 8/8/2005

Krung Thai is a great restaurant to go to. There are two locations on Winchester Bl. One on the north and one on the south. This restaurant is medium sized and the food is so delicious. Not the best thai food that I have had, but pretty close! I reccommend trying the Pad Thai and the Sweet and Sour Chicken. Yum! Customer Service is great, but this place can get crowded at times. more

san josé's ultimate favourite thai restaurant, year after year! 8/7/2005

thai restaurant is no novelty anymore. people have learned to go beyond just pad thai, pineapple fried rice, and tom yum gai. the general "mainstream" public has become more sophisticated about southeast asian cuisine, and our palates have become pickier. yet, krung thai is still, after all these years, san josé's #1 pick for thai cuisine and with good reason. as long as you'r not a total local yokel, you've heard of hyungjei galbi ("brother's bbq") in san francisco on gearly street. krung thai is like brother's in 2 ways: 1) both restaurants keep winning readers' choice awards in local magazines year after year after year for decades. 2) both restaurants are funny in that each have two location really close to each other on the same street. i.e., brother's has a #1 and #2 on geary very close to each other, and krung thai has a #1 and a #2 on winchester very close to each other. the newer and nicer-looking #2 location gets more crowded on a weekend night. both locations are consistently good, but #2 has the nicer atmosphere. more

Best Thai ever! 8/6/2005

Krung Thai is honostly the best thai food i have ever had for a VERY good price. The place is not really that big but the tables are spaced out enough so you can talk. The food is delicious and extremely authentic. I always get the Sa-Tay chicken to start off and the famous soup for an app. The portions are hefty and are enough to fill up two people so i recommend sharing if your not that hungry! more
