I just had my hair cut by Amelia at Kropps & Bobbers. Not only did an adorable child and two Maltese puppies scamper about, creating a warm familial atmosphere, but Amelia's cut was wonderful: a short, pixie-punk Agyness Deyn (I admit to a girlcrush on her). I have visited salons all over the city, from Bb to Frederic Fekkai to Beehive, and if you are looking for a totally chic, hip, professional cut at a bargain price, this is it. She took the time to do a little additional cleanup in the back when I asked about it, and didn't seem impatient and pressed like other stylists when you ask for the best. The other stylist (maybe he was the owner? Not sure) was a sweetheart and we gossiped about Project Runway and denim design (don't we all love the salon for gossip and fun?) and the receptionist was nice too. I will be going back to see Amelia and the owner again soon! Best cuts for downtown girls or uptown girls seeking downtown style!
Pros: superfriendly people, great bargain, excellent cuts
Cons: none as far as I can see
