This Kroger location has just undergone a huge renovation that took about a year. I have been a patient and loyal customer throughout the transformation process even though items were constantly being shifted around the store. Lately I've noticed an increasing problem of fairly common staples being out of stock, but my most recent visit was the worst yet. Their supply of bananas was way low, and all of them were already yellow and on their way to brown. There was no fresh basil to be found in the herbs section. But worst of all, the meat dept. was completely out of chicken breasts! All they had were legs and thighs. I mean, come on. Really???
I've always liked Publix better, but Kroger wins with their low prices. However, I'm on the verge of switching my allegiance if things don't shape up fast!
With all that said, this store does have some things going for it. They've got a decent organic section as well as a sizable kosher section for the heavily concentrated Jewish population in the area. For me, it's a convenient location and I can get in and out in no time usually.
Avoid shopping there on Wednesdays - that's Senior Day. No disrespect intended, but when the old folks flood the aisles and the checkout lines it can make for a frustrating experience if time is of the essence at all.
Pros: low prices, open 24 hours
Cons: stockouts
