While the doughnuts are certainly good, I wouldn't put Krispy Kreme in the same category as ""Best Breakfast Places."" Cons: Fast Food

Best doughnuts ever 3/23/2006

I once overheard a friend tell me that these doughnuts taste "like a cloud" and that's so true! They are very light and fluffy that it's almost like eating sweetened air. You can almost breathe them in they are so light! And you definitely don't need to go for anything fancy here - the plain basic doughnuts are quite satisfying. Krispy Kreme is also a pretty clean facility, unlike other doughnut shops that feel reminiscent of a gas station. When buying doughnuts here, be sure to buy in bulk to share with all your friends! more

Who could hate it?! 3/23/2006

These doughnuts are SO good! Especially the plain glazed ones that are fresh from the oven - still warm and gooey. YUM! The restaurant is always clean and the service is friendly. There is so much to pick from but the donuts are especially sweet, so this is a once-in-a-while treat for us. I have known people who have served a tower of Krispy Kreme donuts instead of cake at their weddings. Anyway, if you've never had one you are missing out! more

Instant Infatuation. 3/10/2006

When I first tried Krispy Kreme I was so hooked. I could eat a dozen in one sitting because they are so light you can't even tell how many you are downing. But after a while, they just became almost too sweet. I got sick of the sweetness. For me, the infatuation with Krispy Kreme was temporary and now I'm over it. But I still do go back occassionaly when a craving hits, because donuts like these are really hard to finnd anywhere else. more

Glazed Heaven 3/9/2006

I've only recently had my first Krispy Kreme donut, and I was hooked. The only donuts I really like are the glazed ones - so tender and delicious! Although one is my maximum, because after the first they get sickeningly sweet. The best way to eat Krispy Kreme donuts are warm - they melt in your mouth! I know someone who makes bread pudding out of Krispy Kreme donuts. I've never tried it, but it sounds awesome. more

The 30 pound anti-diet! 3/6/2006

Anyone who eats more than five of these at a time is my hero. No doubt that these donuts are the elite, but they are the type of thing that an overdose is going to have you holding your stomach saying that you will never eat again. My recommendation is to enjoy anyways, but use caution. They look innocent to the "virgin donut eye" with their neat little display, but they are lethal! Have at it. more

It's not only a great place to enjoy a snack, but a fun place to be. Make sure to try all their differnet varities, you will be hooked in no time. more

mmm Donuts 8/20/2005

I love Krispy Kreme Donuts. They are so tasty. It is quite a unique donut place because they show the entire process of making a donut through glass windows. The donut goes from dough to fried to frosted. They offer free samples to each customer so bring the kids. more

Mouthwatering donuts 8/10/2005

Krispy Kremes is the ultimate in delicious junk food. Their original glazed donuts is soooo good that just thinking about it makes my mouthwater. mmmmm donuts. They hand out free samples too each customer as they come in. also they show their entire donut making factory through a glass wall, so you can see from start to finsih how their donuts are made. I usually buy one dozen glazed and a dozen assorted, which means i have to hit the gym every day that week i am eating these. They are open pretty late, until midnight i think, so you can drive up for a midnight snack. Try them out, they are De-lic-ious. more
