Costa Opa's Time Has Passed 9/8/2010

What a location. Perhaps once upon a time this was classic Greek dining. Today it is nothing more than a cheap place to fill your gullet. Greasy food, canned green beans the food is not from 21st century Seattle, rather it is 1970 mid-America. The bathrooms were filthy too. I can only imagine what the two electric organs must be used for. Dueling Greek piano night anyone? more

Great food but service is a hit and miss 2/21/2010

I've been going to Costas Opa for about 10 years now. The food is always so good no matter what I order. I love the soups, potatoes, lamb and hummus! The servers are always not so friendly but have a good knowledge of the menu. The last time I had my family there, the hostess was rude and the server ignored us and forgot our pita bread after we politely reminded her 4 times. The pita bread is awesome though! Pros: awesome food Cons: service more

No better Greek food in Seattle!! 12/17/2009

This is mine and my husbands most favorite restaurant in Seattle, no, make that Washington! The atmosphere, service, and food are so great that I had my wedding reception here. All of my guests (which included some VERY picky eaters) fell in love with everything about this place. I could not possible speak any higher praise about this restaurant! Opa Indeed!!! Pros: Everything! Cons: It is far from where I live more

Great place for great greek food!! 8/3/2009

Being greek myself i rarely choose to go to greek cuisine because i can get it from my family but when me and a couple friends finally decided on costas opa it was a decision i did not regret at all! we were told to try the saganaki appetizer, a flaming cheese dish lit right at your table and it was to die for!!! and that was just the beginning, the kalamari rings, mousaka, gyros, avgo soup and especially the souvlaki! i will definitely be back many a times!!!! LOVE IT! Pros: saganaki, gyros meat, BREAKFAST!! more

Waste of time & money 1/26/2009

I've lived close to the restaurant as long as I can remember and never tried it. Well, I recently dined in there for the first time with a friend and will not be back again. Pros: iced tea was good, big menu, authentic to the best of my knowlege Cons: service, price, bland food more

If you're going to review something, please learn English. 8/6/2008

First of all, MORROL, uneatable is not a word. Why in the world would I trust your opinion on Greek food, as if you're an expert or something, when you don't even know English? Inedible is the correct term, and that is something that Costas Opa's food is not. Pros: yum, belly dancing, lots of seating, location Cons: ? more

Good dependable Greek food 6/16/2008

I have worked in Fremont for 24 years and have eaten here at least 200 times. I've never had a bad meal. The food is consistently good and some items (all salads, moussaka, baked chicken, hummus, melitzana salata) are among the best I've had. The service is dependable but not as friendly as one might like. more

amazing menu 8/7/2007

I've been to Costas Opa a few times now, but my most recent visit revealed to me what a great place it is for some Greek eats! Everything on the menu sounded so good. It took forever just to narrow down what I wanted! The avgolemeno was great, and the baked feta is a must for an appetizer. Their pita bread is great too, it is flavorful and tastes freshly made. I had the happy greek combination plate, which in my opinion gave me a little of everything that I wanted. Also, you get free baklava on your birthday. Who can say no to that? Pros: great food, many busses stop right out front Cons: parking more

The pita! The pita! 4/1/2007

The very best pita I have EVER had. The hummus is good too, but oh man the garlic. Pros: Did I mention the pita? Hummus, soup and ample seating Cons: limp, colorless veggies more

Great appetizers!! 3/10/2007

DP and I had the opportunity to try the greek restaurant that people had told us was one of the best. We enjoyed the calamari and had to order the flaming cheese (come on it's FLAMING CHEESE!!) We really enjoyed both the appetizers and the salad (greek of course) was fanatastic - not overly dressed with just enough feta and veggies to keep up interested. I would stick with the apps however - the entrees were underseasoned and a little boring. We both left wishing we had shared one or two more appetizers. I would defintely go back! Pros: good appetizers, open and spacious restaurant Cons: entrees left a little to be desired more

Best Lunch Date. Period. 3/9/2007

I have lived in the Seattle area for 5+ years and this is the best little restaurant you could hope to find on a sunny afternoon with nothing else to do. This is the place I take my family to when they're visiting. Not all of them like Greek food, but the atmosphere is adorable; and there are ""american-enough"" things on the menu to satisfy them. Pros: Great food, great location, great atmosphere. Cons: Average service, Average prices more

authentic greek fare 11/17/2006

This place is awesome. From the authentic decor to the traditional Greek food. Costas Opa is a great restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I have gone several times with a large group of 12-20 people and Costas always accomodates. I usually just call ahead. They have prompt service and a very affordable menu. I always order the flaming cheese appetizer, where they light cheese on fire and it crisps the outside. It is to die for!!! Pros: authentic different menu options Cons: parking more

Weird but true 7/8/2006

I've been trying for 9 months to find a great salad in this town and the other day I finally went to Costas Opa and chanced upon there awesome salad menu. The Paros Salad (I added grilled chicken) is quite possibly the best salad I have ever had. Mixed greens with sunflower seeds, dried cranberries and fresh fruit with this sweet and tangy vinagrette-like dressing. The burgers are great and inexpensive. The spanikopita is as big as your head and delicious. I have only had fantastic food here. The staff aren't overly friendly, but they get the job done. This place is great. Pros: Fantastic Food Cons: Parking in Fremont more

Favorite Restaurant for years 6/10/2006

This has been our family's favorite restaurant for years. I have tried for years to find a Greek restaurant that even comes close, and none have. Their food is amazing. All the flavors blend together harmoniously! My family and I have always driven 45 minutes to get to Costas Opa and try to celebrate our birthdays, ect here. Its the ONLY restaurant that we eat at when in Seattle. more

Best Greek food ever! 7/25/2005

Great atmosphere.! Loved my server - very attentive - quite helpful in explaining the Greek dishes that I was not familiar with. Loved the bellydancing! Perfect entertainment on a Saturday night before going out on the town. My friends and I highly reccommend Costas. We'll definitely be back. Thank you! :-) Pros: Great atmosphere, Incredible food!! more
