For real sushi lovers 6/2/2005

This is the best sushi in Austin! The fish is fresh and the presentation is unique and authentic. This is a true Austin restaurant, its casual and laid-back enviroment provides excellent ethnic foods at a surprisingly modest price. declining every day 9/28/2004

This place was my favorite sushi place in Austin about 2 years ago but it has declined badly. The last time I went I just couldn't finish my sushi roll! The salmon was flavorless and just didn't taste fresh at all and the rice was falling all over the place. I'm sad to say I would never recommend this place to a sushi lover. I live in killeen so when I get down to Austin i always make a point to go to Korea House. I love that my boyfriend can fill up on korean food and I can get sashimi which I adore. For $8.95 I can get 8 pieces of salmon sashimi( my favorite) and for $12.95 I can get 8 pieces of yellowtail sashimi. The pieces are large and always fresh. A bargain for sashimi if you ask me. I wish I didn't live so far away!!!!!!!!!!! Pros: good quality, reasonable prices more

Negative feedback 6/9/2003

I thought the food was not worth the cost. Being that I'm half Korean, I was not at all impressed with the way in which the food was prepared. And to make matters worse, they forgot half of our order and did not even seem remorseful until the owner said something to them. There was definately a lack of customer service. Would I recommend this restaraunt to a friend? Not even to an enemy. But on a positive note, the area around the restaraunt was very beautiful and inviting. The pond was peaceful and serene more

Order Korean food at Korea House 4/23/2003

The kalbi, bulgogi, and BBQ specialities are good things to get cooked at the table here. Make sure to get Pan Chan which are all the free appetizers that is customary with korean cuisine. Often non-korean customers do not know this. The editor decided to touch upon only sushi. Just because most americans get sushi at korean restaurants, doesn't mean you should go there for japanese food. Just the same as you don't go to a mexican restaurant for a burger. Having korean in my blood, this is not the best korean food I've had (dallas has much better), but it is the best in Austin. more

I can't believe anybody likes this place, or even more rates it a 9. The sushi is not fresh! Also, the 1 thing that a sushi restaurant should be is clean, and this place is not. Sticky tables, dirty utencils, ug! And it's just not the sushi, their Korean menu items are also very bad. This place may be affordable (comparitively speaking), but you get what you pay for. Korea House has the best sushi in Austin, by far! Their spice sauce (featured in the Spice Crab Roll and Mexican Orgasim) is unsurpassed by any spicy flavor at any other restaraunt! Pros: Great Price, Excellent Flavor, Family Owned Cons: Older Building more

the best sushi i have ever eaten. the sushi chefs are nice and friendly. fast. offer advise and know what they are doing. interesting conversation about korea and their culture. i wish i could go here daily. the waitresses are indifferent, however. never once asked if we wanted anything. why did i leave a tip? more

Korea House rocks 7/19/2002

Korea House has consistently good food (including sushi) at reasonable prices. Their service can be a little iffy at times (sometimes it feels like you're stuck in a Seinfeld epsiode or something), but generally good. Their sushi chefs are really nice and make great sushi; KH's lunch specials are a fantastic value. Pros: Good value, Sushi, Lunch specials Cons: Ambience, hard to find more
