Best in Hampton Roads 5/17/2010

Kitchen Emporium was by far the best of the 5 places that we got estimates from for our kitchen remodel. Dennis was extremely helpful in our kitchen design. We already had a pretty good idea of our kitchen layout, but Dennis was still able to make improvements to our design. Other companies had to cut corners to match his price, and their cabinets didn't include the soft close like Dennis's did. He also made sure our counter-top was top quality. After seeing some granite installs he wasn't completely happy with from a company we wanted to go with, he decided to use the company he normally works with (Tidewater Granite Masters), at an inconvenience to him. He made sure that our final product would be exactly what we were looking for. The installer, Frank Wentz, was great too. He made our cabinets look perfect, even with all the issues that our kitchen presented to him. Not one wall was level or straight, but you couldn't tell now. He is a perfectionist and will make sure your kitchen cabinets look great. Even the guy they send after the job is complete to make sure every thing is adjusted properly and works correctly was awesome. Jonathon stopped by to replace a soft close mechanism and adjust one of our drawers (two things we noticed) and went through every cabinet and drawer to make sure everything was good. He actually found a couple more adjustments that needed to be made that I didn't notice until he pointed it out and I really looked at it. Bottom line, we were extremely happy with our kitchen and level of customer service with Dennis and his crew. I agree with a previous review that it's almost like losing contact with a friend once your job is complete. Pros: Cust Service, Quality of work Cons: I don't have another kitchen to remodel more

Better look and act like you have money.... 4/13/2010

We just bought an older home that was in serious need of a kitchen overhaul. Long story short, we wanted to shop around for the best ideas. We had 4 contractors lined up for this past tuesday, the last one being Kitchen Emporium at 4pm. When scheduling our appointment with KE, we made it clear that we had other people giving estimates and that our last appointment that we already had scheduled was at 3pm. ""Well, why don't I get there at 4 then?"" said Kitchen Emporium. He showed up just as our 3 o'clock appointment was finishing up and waited until that contractor left to tell us that he wouldn't be doing any measurements, that he didn't want our business and that it was just bad business on our part to have 2 contractors there at the same time. Pros: ... Cons: See above..... more

We had to get a new kitchen without much notice due to a leak! Dennis was accommodating, knew what he was talking about, offered suggestions...all without us feeling pressure like other places. Everything turned out perfectly. Pros: professional Cons: ? more

Great Kitchen Renovation 3/24/2010

I had been wanting to update our kitchen for the past several years but kept putting it off after hearing from other people all their ""horror"" stories. I finally bit the bullet and got in touch with several kitchen design companies. After meeting Dennis at Kitchen Emporium there was no doubt who I would choose to redo our kitchen. From start to finish, working with Dennis and their subcontractors made the whole ""ordeal"" easy and fun. I was so impressed with how everyone took pride in their work and wanted to make sure we were happy. I would be negligent if I did not mention Frank who actually installed our cabinets. Not only did he do the installation but he also did the trim work and the tile back splash. He was such a perfectionist that I never felt like I needed to go behind and check his work. We had set ourselves a budget and I was really surprised at what the estimate was. I really thought that using a kitchen design place would be too expensive. When the renovation was completed (which only took a month) and everyone had gone, I felt like I had lost part of my family. Not only was working with Dennis a real pleasure but I feel like we also made a new friend. Thanks for our beautiful kitchen. We love it. Pros: No headaches - Kitchen Emporium took care of everything more

THE Kitchen store for your kitchen remodel 3/21/2010

We did our homework prior to remodeling our kitchen. What we found was Kitchen Emporium offered an exceptional quality product, very competitive pricing, a beautiful showroom to highlight products available and provide us an opportunity to see every feature we wanted in our new kitchen. I was a skeptic and did not think a kitchen store could be competitive with Home Depot or Lowe's, I was wrong, they were actually less expensive. The Cabinet installer, Frank, is a true craftsman, and perfection is an understatement in his quality of work. Rob, our designer, was professional, flexible, and very detail oriented. He seemed to think of everything. We ran into a couple of obstacles with our installation, each one was met with a quick solution; the customer service at Kitchen Emporium is top notch. We will do business with them again, our Kitchen looks like it should be in a magazine, it is absolutely beautiful. Thank you Rob! Pros: Quality product and Excellent customer service more

Beautiful kitchens @ Kitchen Emporium 4/24/2009

They did a wonderful job of transforming my 60s kitchen into a paradise. Very patient with all my changes. Rob was great to work with and did an excellent job of designing my tiny kitchen with maximizing all space. The design makes the kitchen look very tall and spacious. An outstanding transformation from the original kitchen. I highly reccommend Kitchen Emporium to anyone who wants a more one on one feel with a professional staff that delivers nothing short of excellent service. Pros: great cabinet selection, professionalism, service more

Amazing Service 1/31/2009

If you want top of the line service and top of the line cabinets go to Kitchen Emporium and ask for Dennis. Dennis is very helpful and makes you feel as if you are family. I have been to a number of other places to look for cabinets and no one seemed to be able and design such an amazing plan. Dennis makes Kitchen Emporium what it is. I'm sorry that the person before me had such a bad experience, but I can tell you that if they had sat down with Dennis there experience would have been different. Pros: Service, Quality. Cons: ..... more

Go see Kitchen Emporium!! 9/26/2008

I recently had my kitchen remodeled by Kitchen Emporium and I am extremely happy with my experience. They have great product lines to choose from, a nice showroom to work in, and a professional yet friendly staff that works there. The designer with whom I worked with was great. She did an excellent job designing my layout and helped me tremendously with all of my selections. She was always available to talk with and very knowledgeable about the process. The installer that installed my kitchen was wonderful. Definitely the best in town!! My kitchen is beautiful. I didn?t find Kitchen Emporium to be overpriced but competitive. In fact, Home Depot and Lowes install prices were so much more than Kitchen Emporiums. I am a firm believer with the motto ?you get what you pay for?. Well, Kitchen Emporium was definitely worth every penny in my book!! Pros: Nice showroom, great cabinets, great staff Cons: Hard to find location at first more

Horrible Service and Very Dishonest 10/1/2007

These people have no customer service skills in the long run and they will say and do anything to get your business. After that you are on your own. They will lie or withhold valuable information from you just to sell you something even if it is the wrong something then you are stuck paying for the junk they oversold to you. They also make HUGE profits on the markup's on all of your stuff. A mimimum of $1000 per large item. Check out pricing at Lowe's or Home Depot for the same item before you sign a contract. Also, buy your countertops from anyone but them, you will save a mint. Also, before signing your contract make sure YOU go measure all cabinets because they have a female that works there that does not know her numbers and will misorder all your cabinets and then they will blame you and try to make you pay. The stuff they sell is nice, but they need to go into another business like used cars sales where this behavior is expected. Pros: Good Product Line Cons: Dishonest employees with no care for the customers more
