Best Haircut Ever!!!!!!!!! 2/25/2010

I had my hair cut the other day with Danielle. She was so sweet and the staff was so friendly and very attentive. I was offered a glass of wine and a hand massage while i was there and i got to completely escape my day and relax! I LOVE my haircut, it's exactly what i wanted! I will go back again and again!!!! Loved it! 2/18/2010

The staff was very friendly at Kisma. Not only did they squeeze me in at the last minute, but when I got there one of the girls gave me a tour of the salon and refreshments. Kristy was my stylist and she cut my hair exactly how I wanted it. She even taught me how to style my new do with a flat iron after my cut was over for no charge (and I have thick hair, so it took awhile). I didn't feel pressured to purchase products like some salons, yet ended up buying an item because I saw such a drastic change. Overall this is a great salon and I hope to go back soon to get some color done! Pros: Great cut. Friendly people. Excellent service. more

I have very difficult hair to work on. It grabs color, and I have had many bad experiences in the past. I am so happy with the professionalism, desire to please, and time they have spent whenever we tried something new. Everyone is so excellent at color, and they work together to make you happy! I have been going to Kisma since I moved to Austin back in 2006 - I am lucky to get to go to Anet there - she is awesome!! I have waist length long layered hair and she ALWAYS highlights and cuts my hair extrodinarily well. Everyone knows that a good hair sylist is priceless and Anet and all of the folks at Kisma are truly priceless. They are accomadating as soon as you come in the door. I truly feel like a princess when I get my hair done. They give extra special treatment from the moment you walk in until you walk out. The staff is always friendly and courteous and the positive vibe in the overall salon is contagious! It is very refreshing to get your hair done perfectly and also have a relaxing, positive experience that you know is awaiting you everytime you go to Kisam Hair Co. I highly recommend this salon for anyone, long or short hair. They not only do fabulous work, they make the salon experience a pampering one, and the price is right!!! I have been going to Michelle now for about 2 1/2 yrs and I trust her with my hair. She does an excellent job with color. She has a pleasant personality and the time goes by fast with great conversations and laughter! Pros: She listens and gives you what ""you"" want. Cons: She gets booked fast... she is that good! more

yay - healthy hair! 11/25/2009

Kristy is a fabulous stylist! I first saw her for a trim & highlight in August, and my hair was extremely damaged. It had been through several rounds (& colors) of dye, but she managed to take off the damaged ends & get some lowlights of blonde back in rotation. I saw her again yesterday, and she was able to lighten it another level, and again take some damaged ends off. In just two visits to Kristy, my hair is healthier than it's been in over a year, and I'm back to being a blonde again! Thanks, Kristy!!! Pros: Kristy Fennewald more

Great People, Great Service, Great 'Dos, Great Prices 11/15/2009

The first time I walked in I was not sure what to do with my hair. I talked to my hair stylist and soon after was greeted by the owner, Annette, and given a somewhat lengthy consultation. Very professional and personable from the start. \r \r Laura Ann does a terrific job...very detail-oriented, very much in tune with her customers needs/concerns and always attentive. When I suggest any kind of change I always feel I'm in capable hands. She not only does a great job with my hair but gives great scalp massages and pedicures. \r \r I'm a real stickler when it comes to good customer service and this salon personifies it...from the people I'm greeted by when I walk in the door, my stylist, the other stylists and back to the owner. They have it down to a tee. I'm always offered a drink, get a complimentary service every visit and a footstool under my feet if I desire. Why go anywhere else? Pros: Best Customer Service in Town Cons: Really? Oh...there are none...first rate! more

From Worst Hair To Best: Thx To Kisma 11/14/2009

I have rotten hair. If I tinted it blue I could be Marge Simpson. In my whole life, no one ever complimented me on my hair...until I went to Kisma. My office went nuts. They said I looked ten years younger. A perfect stranger complemented my hair at the dry cleaners. I almost cried.\r \r Laura Ann did a fantastic job. But to tell you the truth, every stylist was turning out great 'dos when I was there. It took me almost a decade to find the perfect salon in Austin. But it was worth the wait. I am a crazy busy person just like everyone else in the world. So i love that I can see whatever great stylist is open and have full confidence in their abilities. I am always offered a drink when I come in the door and I get a Scalp or hand massage every visit! Trust them with your hair, you wont regret it. I've been seeing Michelle at Kisma for almost two years now. She is a miracle worker with my straight, fine hair. I don't want to look like everyone else and she always comes up with an interesting style that matches what I've told her I like. She's a master with scissors, razor and color. I rue the day if I ever have to move away... I'll just have to fly back every time I need a cut. I can't trust anyone else. Pros: Great staff, great ambience, great hair! more

i came into kisma with raggedy looking hair after getting a referral from one of my friends. teresita took me under her wing and i have had healthy, gorgeous looking hair ever since! i told her that i just wanted something that would look good on me and let her do whatever she wanted. i have never been disappointed! with the cut being so great and my hair being so healthy, i hardly have to do anything to it to style it. love teresita and love the hair! more

Awesome hair by Mario 9/2/2009

I placed my hair in Mario's capable hands about a year and a half ago and have never regretted it! I like to change things up regularly and no matter what picture I bring in for a color or cut change, he can replicate it no problem. Mario has the skill to give you whatever you ask for and the wisdom and experience to let you know what style or color is or isn't right for you. Mario is warm and funny and time spent in his chair just flies by. I really can't recommend him highly enough. Thank you, Mario! Pros: Great color and cut more

Amy B is a master w/ a color palette & a genius w/ scissors! 9/1/2009

I've been going to Amy for over 5 years. She had taken the time to get to know my style and taste and adapted accordingly. I have nearly black hair that is problematic to color as it does not absorb color to cover the gray very well. Amy's taken detailed notes of what we try each time and adapts the color formula to reach perfection.\r \r She is also genius with her scissors and each time she cuts, I swear it's going to be terrible because she was so fast only to discover yet again how much of a professional she it! I have been seeing Amy for 7 years. She has been the best hair consultant. Never tells you something will look good when it will not, always suggests the best colors and cuts for your face and personality. I always feel that I am the most important client.
