Awesome Food 6/27/2011

This chinese food restaurant has some of the best deals in the area, with filling portions, excellent menu item variety, and delicious food all around. I have been ordering from home for a long time and I am certain that this is one of the best chinese food dealers in my area. Pros: Fast service, excellent taste, and generous portions. Cons: I would rather dine at a different restaurant because of the small space but this is by far the BEST chinese food delivery option in the area. more

How is it getting one star?!? Injustice! 4/24/2009

Ignore the (non) ambiance of restaurant itself. Just order lots and lots of food. The portions, particularly the specials, provide far more tasty goodness than a normal person could eat in a single day, for such little money, and they are accommodating if you want to switch stuff out. There are a lot of other Chinese restaurants nearby, but King Fu is the clear winner. Pros: Great, GREAT value Cons: Don't plan to eat in more

THE BEST CHINESE IN THE WORLD 7/19/2006

I love this place! I haven't visited in a while, but you can order any chinese food you can think of, even if it's not on the menu. You cannot find any chinese food of this quality and taste anywhere else in L.A.-- all those trendy ones.. cantonese and the like. This is chinese as it should be: greasy, salty, not trying to be healthy or pretentious. The decor is horrible. My favorite dish is the Mongolian beef, which you'll see on the lunch menu but you can order any time of day. I haven't found Mongolian beef of this stature before or since. Give them a call for delivery- but your portions will be slightly smaller. I also recommend their egg drop soup. the best ever! Pros: GREAT PRICE, FAST SERVICE, GOOD FOOD! good for families too! more

Great Delivery 10/21/2005

This was the first time I tried King Fu because I was dissatisfied with the other Chinese delivery places in my area. This is BY FAR the best value for the dollar! I got so much good food for half the price of the other places. I recommend the vegetarian string beans and the shrimp lo mein! The Schezuan tofu wasn't so great, but the fried rice was nice and not too greasy. They were fast too. I'm definately ordering from them again! more

Appearances are deceiving 10/10/2005

Don't be alarmed if you walk into this place to find one of the tables covered in snow peas. The ambience of the place, while friendly, is not what makes it great. It's the food. If nothing else, you must try the sweet and pungent chicken, which will make you want to come back the next day for more. Together with a bowl of rice and a Tsingtao beer, and you're all set. All the dinner dishes are great, so try a few. Just make sure the chicken is one. One warning-there are lunch specials, but certain items (including the S&P chicken) are not included, and the quality is not quite as good. They also deliver to the surrounding area and are well equipped for takeout. Pros: good value, delicious food, friendly atmosphere Cons: bare bones decor, small seating area more

my favorite chinese food in LA 9/27/2005

I have been going to King Fu for longer than i can remember. I think it's changed ownership once or twice over the past twenty years. But the red vinyl booths and warm greetings are the same. I think they do mostly a take-out business, but if you dine-in, you can eat on cloth tables with Chinese tea, chat across the room with the owners as they roll egg rolls or prepare snap peas, and if you're friendly enough they'll even let you taste what they've made for themselves to eat 'round dinner time! This place is by no means expensive or gourmet. But I'll swear by the fact that they make the best fried rice in the city. It's inexpensive and great for delivery, too! I reccommend any of the egg foo youngs, the chicken corn soup, fried rice (amazing), the paper wrapped chicken, jade chicken, lo mein... more
