So I just took my one year old son in for his first hair cut. My first impression...one of the stylist was working on a family member who's kids were running around not being watched at all. Second there were not any of those cool chairs like a spaceship or whatever that I see when I see advertisements. Then the stylist that we had didn't come get us...she just called out for him from around the corner. Then during the hair cut all I wanted was the front trimmed out of his eyes as he has those baby curls in the back I am not ready to part with. When I told her I just wanted the front trimmed she just kept saying it will look like a mullet...well it didn't and even if it did what if I wanted that? And when it was done it looked funky because of how she did it, but she made a snide comment of look you have bangs now. I was not impressed at all. They did give me a bag for his hair and a little certificate for the first hair cut but I have already made an appointment with my hair stylist to fix his hair next week. NOT IMPRESSED. Very poor first hair cut memory. more

Kids Kutz does an excellent job giving kids cuts. They have a play area and the entire set of special kids chairs, etc. If you have a girl, pay a little extra for the styling. They do an EXCELLENT job fixing up their hair extra pretty and the girls LOVE IT! For the first haircut they even have a special certificate to save with that lock of hair. They can even handle the resistant child quite well and they all leave with a treat when it is over. more

Or any kid who has a problem sitting still. I have seen more than one person from other salons struggle with my 2 year old to cut his hair and then I brought him to kids kuts. They knew just what to do to get him to sit still and cooperate. They did a perfect job and the hair cut was done in no time at all. These people are experts at working with children. Make sure you bring your cash however because they don't take debit or credit cards. more

When looking for a kid friendly place for haircuts, Kids Kuts is the perfect place. It is geared towards kids with decorations, seats and entertainment. The waiting area is kind of small, but they have some toys for kids to enjoy. Once the cut begins, the hair cutter does everything they can to keep your child happy and give them a quality cut.
