I'll start with the down side. The school agers building is very out dated and I do see a decent amount of new teachers. The good side. The staff is very nice and makes sure my daughter has her homework done before I get her. she has gymnastics on certain nights and they always inform me that she did her homework and reading as soon as she got there. (yes I check and it always is)The other school age children are very polite and very engaged in learning activities when I pick her up. My daughter is always bringing home a new craft that she did there. I also have a 2 year old that has been kept on a very structured schedule. She has fully potty trained there and tells me everyday day that ""she had fun"" weekly she will bring home something she has painted and colored. My favorite part is when we are home and she will sing a song I have never heard. I know she got it at kiddie academy because besides home its the only place she goes. I have asked the staff for paperwork concerning different things over the past year and it is always waiting for me when I pick my kids up. I have seen new teachers training but my kids have always had the same main teacher in their classroom in addition to the new ones training. Both of my girls are tattle tales so if anything was wrong I like to think I would know about it. They have also been very flexible with my work schedule. Its changes from time to time. I do recommend kiddie academy! more

\r \r This daycare is AWFUL! NEVER send your children there. All the teachers do is talk at front desk. The facility is gross. They DO NOT watch the kids at all. My son was constantly getting hurt and I would ask what happened and I would get ""I don't know"" that is not good enough. I pay you to watch my child not to be social.. Just do your job. One child would keep hurting my son and they did nothing about it. (Because this child had siblings that also attended they would rather lose one child then all 3)(They just want money, very overpriced!) They would just say ""It just happens, we are doing the best we can"" They would put my sons blanket and pillow on the changing station which is disgusting! I don't know that it has been cleaned and he has to sleep with those blankets. (He got croup 2 times and had a cold every other week and was there for 3 months). They also do not communicate I would go to get my son from his class and he wouldn't be in there I would ask where he is and I was told ""I don't know"" all his stuff was gone, what would a parent think? (he ended up being in another class, which is fine but that would have been good to know! One of their employees actually told me they were not surprised I was taking him out that she wouldn't even send her own kids here. This employee also told me that they can't keep kids, teachers here. When I told the director (stacy) this she said I think I know who said this ""she likes to cause problems."" No I think she was just being honest. Stacy then told me that this isn't true they are actually fully staffed with teachers and children and she has to turn kids away! What does that say about Kiddie Academy. They only thing this school did right was letting me out of my 2 week notice and refunding me money because they know they messed up! PLEASE do not send your children here.\r more

My son attended Kiddie Academy for the summer and was supposed to go into their Kindergarten program. They gave away his Kindergarten slot because the staff are not prepared and do not communicate to each other. While attending the school my son was hurt by one of the teachers. Gwen was her name and she told me she held him in a corner with her foot. She also made sure to avoid the cameras that they have placed in the rooms so that we could not see what she was doing to my son. All my son did was try and play with a truck and dump out some beans. Gwen seemed to get WAY too upset by this and became visibly violent. She took my child off camera and then stood up and so I can only guess and go by what she said she did... which she said she put her foot on him and held him in a corner. The director said that Gwen was wrong and that she would get her more training and then made Gwen a full time 5 year old teacher... so I have had to remove him from that daycare. It is a poorly managed daycare with teachers that are abusive. I originally signed up because I talked to Char (who appears to be one of the best daycare workers) too bad she works for such a poorly run daycare. more

Best Day Care in Roy- Maybe even the sate 10/29/2008

I supposse everyone can have a bad experience, but we have been taking our 2 kids To Kiddie Academy for 4 years. We are very pleased and would never think of taking them to another center. The owners are constantly present, dedicated and hard working people. We moved from Texas and people we met, at Hill Air Force Base, recomneded Kiddie Academy to us. In Texas the day care center was constantly changing employees. At Kiddie Acaemy our kids have had the same teachers for over 2 years. We now have one in elementary school. Kiddie Academy transports her to school and back to the center. She loves the onwers and the husband is also the bus driver. Every year they have a parents night out, close to Christmas, parents can drop there childern off free of charge and go Christmas shopping. The children get to eat pizza, do christmas crafts, and santa clause comes to visit. My daughter learned more from thier kindergarten class than she did in first grade at the public school. Miss Ginny had her class writing sentences, in kindergarten, more than my daughter learned in first grade. Pros: Staff, flexible with payments, dedicated Cons: parking, hard to get into more
