keswick is the best 11/10/2010

I have been lucky to buy my first bike from Keswick in 1989 from the original owners. They were terrific folks with a lot of history in the bike industry and the community. I was a little worried when the shop was sold in 1999 to different folks. However my worries were very short lived. The new owner Dave and Brian have updated the shop, carry more stuff, are into the bike world and so is there staff. Listen I go to a lot of the local shop, Share the Love, sort of speak. Everyone has bad days and good days but keswick has always been good to me and I can recommend 100%. more

Complete idiots, and very snooty/arrogant too. Took my vintage Cannondale there for repairs, figuring they'd know what they are doing and have access to parts since they are a Cannondale dealer. They totally fouled up the repair job, and became very arrogant when I (politely) asked about the problems. Clearly the don't give a d*** about me or my bike. more

great shop, helpful people, great prices 1/20/2010

I've been going to these guys for 5 years now and never had a bad experience. When I first got into riding I went to a bunch of shops and they all tried to sell me something I did need. Keswick was the first shop to listen and get me on a bike that was perfect for my needs. I was able to take a few bikes home and test ride them on my normal route and not just in streets by the shop. That was great! The guys fit me for the bike and made sure I was very comfortable with everything before I left. They are a very busy shop and can do minor repairs like flat tires for you on the spot. But you should plan your tune ups in advance. In seasn they can be out a week or two. You can schedule service with them just like you would do for your car. They will even drop off your bike for you at your house or office if you have a tight schedule. Pros: knowledgable staff, very helpful, vey patient Cons: very busy shop more

Not a Premier Bike Shop... 8/15/2009

Shabby maintenance on my brand new Cannondale Synapse. They replaced rear derailer with a lower quality one (not Shimano 105) . The screws (to frame) fell out....after 4 months, the derailer fell off and got bent up.. This was a rookie mistake. Those screws should have anti-sieze loctite to hold in place. Now they'll probably use the wrong loctite that creates a permanent joint. Also, I bought special tire and rims there. The intertube popped upon the first pump up. I replaced the tube, but it popped again during the ride. When I went back to the shop to return rims...they gave me a hard time, but finally replaced it. This is still a bike shop run by kids....just with more selection. Not worth the extra $$$ Pros: They have a great selection of stuff... Cons: but cheapen up the OTS bike w cheaper parts and bad service. more
