My first experience with Kerbey Lane Doll Shoppe was way back in 1995... My mother and I stumbled upon the little pink building while waiting to eat at the infamous Kerbey Lane Cafe next door. We walked into the pink house expecting typical doll store fare and were overwhelmed by the overstuffed collection of , well, STUFF.
Since 1995, Kerbey Lane has reorganized and pruned down it's collections to be more managable and more appealing. However, it's still chockful of wonderful things and you can actually FIND what you are looking for. It's recently changed ownership (i believe the old owner had the store for nearly 20 years) and there is more focus on contemporary dolls. The store farms out doll repair and can help you locate someone to put the head or leg back on your precious baby, sew new bodies, find a working cryer, etc.
They also have doll clothes and accessories and a small collection of plush items. A big plus for this store is it's wonderful location, next to the aforementioned cafe, some high end boutiques, a coffee roaster, and much much more.
