Since bikes and skis and snowboards are very different things, the staff needs to be knowledgeable in many areas. This seems to cause them to be less knowledgeable about the specifics in either side. The customer service representative that I spoke with was fairly knowledgeable about bicycles, but there were also a lot of misconceptions and rumours about bikes that were mixed in with the facts. If you haven't researched what you're buying well, you might learn some incorrect "facts" from the staff. They are friendly and eager to help though.
