Favorite Salon!! 3/27/2006

All I can say is that I've never been so happy with my hair. I went in, after a nighmare experience with another salon. My hair looked like the wigs people wear when they want to look like a hill billy, except it was my REAL hair. Sarah was able to fix both the cut and color, and it looks like I had my hair done by a famous stylist in LA!! Sarah spent time talking to me about what I did and didn't like, and she didn't start working until I felt completely comfortable. If you want your hair done by a stylist who listens to you,and does an amazing job, go to Sarah!! She also went over the price list with me, without having to ask. Eveyone in Keith Kristopher is friendly, and I've found my new salon! Pros: Friendly Staff, Amazing Stylists, Miracle Workers more

My sad orange hair is now perfect thanks to Chris 3/17/2006

After two attempts at color at another salon that left me with yellow hair and orange roots, I searched online for help, then came to this salon praying that someone would please please make it right, and someone did. Chris took care of my sad science fiction hair, making it a beautiful blonde with lo lights. lots of variation and subtle colors. She also gave me a rockin little cut that I love. I WILL be back to this Salon. more

i scheduled a spa day for my friends consisting of a mani/pedi, a facial, and hair colouring. they offer you complimentary bottled water or seattle's coffee upon entering. the staff is incredibly friendly, and the ambience is comfortable yet luxurious. my facial was incredible, my skin felt so wonderful; my friend had only glowing reviews about his mani/pedi, and the hair colouring was the icing on the cake. my friend left with the most gorgeous shade of red that after weeks has faded the least of any other colouring i have ever seen. ray is a genius! if you need anything done with your hair, i would recommend him above all else. OMG! Finally a salon I love! 3/14/2006

Doesn't it sometimes seem like some salons just go in and rate themselves on Citysearch saying how great they are, etc? Well, you can believe all the positive things said about this salon. I've tried some of the supposed 'top rated' salons in Austin, and I have been sorely disappointed each time with one exception, Keith Kristofer Salon and Spa! Everyone was so friendly and down to earth. I spent a majority of my day there, having a facial, pedicure and hair color/highlights and a cut and enjoyed the entire experience. Unlike some other salons, they were worried about MY schedule, actually asked if I was hungry and picked up lunch for me! I really suggest the mini facial with Amber, and haircuts, colors and highlights with Janessa. They are amazing! If you are dissatisfied with your salon, give this salon a try. I sincerely doubt youll be disappointed. Pros: Service, Attitude, Products Cons: None more

dedicated hair client adds facials to her menu 3/13/2006

I have been a client of KeithKristofer since it opened and have always been beyond happy with my hair. After getting to know the styling staff, I decided to treat myself to a facial. I had no idea what a treat I was in for! Amber treated me to an hour and a half of pure relaxation. She was thorough in her analysis of my skin, and questioned me about my home care and products. Her product selection left my skin completely clean and radiant and her massage I can't even begin to describe. I've had many facial experiences in town and out and can honestly say this was the absolute best! The only complaint I have is that Amber will soon be discovered and appointments will be hard to come by. If you deserve the best you'll want to see Amber! more

My whole family goes to this salon! 3/12/2006

I recently got a mullet from a very poor hair salon...yes, a mullet. I called Keith Kristofer in a panic. Kris not only saved me, but she also saved my hair. I have since told my mother and sister and they are raving too! I also have had my eyebrows done and I am scheduled for a facial. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this salon. Aside from the amazing talent, the products they use leave you smelling fantastic! My husband loves it!! :) Pros: skill, friendly enviroment, everyone is so nice more

Don't even think about going anywhere else! 3/11/2006

I just finished going to Keith Kristofer Salon, and I was very, very pleased to say the least! I had my hair cut & colored by Tiffany Hardwick. When I went in my hair was looking somewhat thin and lackluster. I left with the best color of my life and a "Jessica Simpson" like hair cut that was very flattering and made my hair look fuller. I feel HOTT! I also received a mini facial from Amber Harrold that was equally great. Even though it was a "mini" it packed the punch of a full facial. I will definitely be going back in the future! Great Extentions! 3/6/2006

I've trying to grow my out for over a year with no luck. Thats were Tiffany from KeithKristopfer comes in! She put the most wonderful beautiful extentions in my hair they look so good, Im so pleased! Its raised my self confidence even more! I can't stop talking about them! And they look better than all my friends extentions!!! You can not even tell that I have them they are blended so nicely! SO I HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you get extentions go see TIFFANY!!!! Pros: Great Blending, Beautiful Hair, Great Staff more

1st Time Success 3/3/2006

I just moved to Austin from California. I visited city search looking for a great salon that would also carry Karastase products. To my surprise I found it on the first atempt. Keith Kristopher sounded great. I made an appointment with an experience stylist for a color and haircut the receptionist was very sweet and helpful.Ray took the time to listen to what I was looking for. He made sugestions and the results were fab! If I had friends in Austin I would tell them all. Pros: professional, experience, great service more

This salon has friendly staff and a clean, modern decor. This of course is not nearly as important as the stylist that cuts your hair. If I found an incredible stylist, I would go see them in a cardboard box by I-35 if I had to. I think I've found her. Janessa has cut my hair always does an amazing job. Since day one she has great ideas about what to do with my hair type, facial structure, personality, and job. She's friendly, fun, and really open to exploring ways to cut your hair to make you look your best. If you're like me who has no idea what they want, she will make some great suggestions without being overbearing or forcing a style on you. Janessa is one of the most skilled, talented, creative, and professional stylists I've met - I would recommend her in a heartbeat. Pros: staff, decor more

i decided to cut 11 inches of hair off to donate to Locks of Love, and wanted to make sure that i got a good cut since i hadn't had short hair in such a long time. my friend had previously gone to Sarah and loved her hair cut, so we made an appointment with her to cut my hair. when Sarah was finished cutting my hair, i left with a fantastic haircut that everyone complimented, and it was exactly what i wanted - a haircut that looked good without requiring too much management. Sarah was great about looking through different pictures with me and consulting me on the pros and cons of each style, and even went ahead and mailed in my donated hair for me to save me the hassle. more

I just came back from yet another totally successful trip to KK salon. Tiffany is my stylist and she is the best. I walked out with the exact cut and color I wanted. Tiffany takes the time to talk to me about what I want and then offers me suggestions on how to go about getting it. I highly recommend the Keith Kristofer salon,especially Tiffany, to anyone looking for a great cut or color. Pros: experienced, welcoming, relaxed more

I recently had my hair cut with Janessa, I don't think I have ever been more impressed. She didn't just give me some generic cut from a picture, but looked at my face shape and overall style and made excellent recomendations. This girl is an artist. Beautiful haircut! Pros: talent! Cons: none more

Having recently moved to town, I was not looking forward to the search for a new stylist, but I struck gold on my first attempt. I am not normally a review writing gal, but I was so happy I thought I would. I had my gray touched up and highlights done, along with a haircut. I love my color and cut, which is a short messy look with ragged edges. It's a big change for me, but it makes me look a lot less "professor-ish", which is something I was going for. I'm glad I let her do it. This is a very nice place to visit, with a relaxed atmosphere and pleasant people. more

Overrated 1/27/2006

I'm not impressed by this salon... I've definitely had better. I also took in a picture and just didn't get the results I was looking for. I was in for 2 and a half hours for a touch up highlight and cut I ended up fixing when I got home. This salon pops up on top b/c it's a 'sponsored link', not b/c it's the best. I probably won't go back, and I won't recommend either. Pros: easy to find, clean Cons: bad music, took too long, overrated more
