We Love Kehlers Day Camp 5/7/2018

I just signed my two children up for their 2nd year of day camp at Kehler's and we're really looking forward to it this summer. For a family on a budget with both parents working this place is perfect. The kids have a great time and they have early and late care which works out great. The only thing I wish was different is that the late care for camp only goes to 6:00 PM and once in a while I need to work until later and it would help if they could keep the camp open until 8:00 pm. Of course that's a small thing and everyone is so nice it truly is a good value. more

My Kids Love This Place! 5/6/2018

My kids have enjoyed this place for 3 years and we just love coming here! The summer camp is very reasonably priced and my kids always come home with smiles and exhausted, which I love! We've only had one party here but it was really easy. They did all the work and my daughter's friends loved the bouncers and trampolines. We'll definitely be doing my son's party here in September! more

Awful! Avoid! 1/21/2013

What a hole! Took my two kids there today to play in the general play room and was shocked at how dirty it was. First of all as soon as we walked in the door I was surprised how abrupt and rude the staff was on top of all the useless information they insisted on collecting before we could enter. When questioned about it they were again terribly rude, this is not my first time taking the kids to an indoor play area, we actually do it somewhat frequently and I have NEVER at any of the over a dozen places I have gone been asked personal info. When we went in the play area was grimy and the staff, what there was of it were not really actively managing the kids, there were children running around barefooted and other unsafe practices. The bathrooms smelled of urine and were also grimy. As far as I saw there was one anti-bacterial dispenser for the entire place and it was dirty. The small area where the parents could watch their kids was again filthy with no seating. How it every won any award let alone a Best of Philly is beyond me. Next time I'll go somewhere clean like Jumpers or Boomers but this dump never again. more

????????? 1/11/2013

Thank you for the reports it make me had a good desit ion on bringing my child. the contract that they want you to sing it makes you think, give so much power to some one that is not going to be responsible for your kid ??? They are not liable if your kid gets injured. It has more bad comments than god tnx to all more

Staff Rude Owner Rude 12/1/2012

All the staff at Kehler's gym are RUDE. The owner Russ Kehler has yelled at parents for standing against the wall. I would not recommend. The staff yell at parents and act as if they are gods and are doing you an incredible favor because they are working with your child. more

Dirty dirty dirty and rude 10/29/2012

This place is a dump. There are many other cleaner, nicer facilities w a competent responsible staff. They are rude, unhelpful, immature and the place is so dirty. They openly talk bad about the owner- which I understood after dealing w him. He is rude, cheap and high strung more

HORRIBLE, DIRTY, RUDe 10/29/2012

This place has an immature, rude staff. The facility is disgustingly dirty. I would not recommend to anyone. Go to jumpers, the oasis, or Bette's. The staff and owner are ignorant and careless more

Great program 11/15/2010

Our children have attended Kehlers Gym for almost three years. Each of them started in the Tumble Tykes, which is Kehlers preschool gymnastics class. I’ve never seen anything quite like it. Each week when the kids come to class the gym is set up completely different so theres always new and fun activities for the kids. The groups are very small so the children get lots of attention. Really though I think the staff at Kehlers Gymnastics is the best thing about it. Every week when we walk in the door Alyssa greets us at the desk and then Ms. Dee takes the children into the gym, calling them by name. Its such a wonderful family atmosphere, and the staff make us feel like we are part of the family. I ve seen the awards they have on the walls of the gym for Best of Philly, Best of the City, Best of the Main Line, etc. I can t speak for the rest of their programs, but as far as preschool gymnastics goes, they really do deserve those awards. more

Good birthday place 11/15/2010

Terrific place for kids birthdays but I learned a secret about how to save money on their parties. My husband just went back to work so I was looking for something inexpensive when my sister told me about Kehlers Discount Package. It’s a good deal cause you can do ten kids and birthday child for about $99 in the Fun Factory Playground. (We had 15 so there was an extra charge for that). I was a little disappointed cause I wanted to also do the gym stuff with the bouncers and things but those packages cost more. But then I discovered that for just $25 more they would let everyone use the Carousel bouncer as a special “add on”. We had the party two week s ago and the kids had a blast. Save some money and ask them to add the carousel bouncer, but you have to ask for it when you book the party cause they cant do it at the last minute. more

So many wonderful extras 11/15/2010

We moved her recently from Dallas where gymnastics is really big, but a gym is just a gym. So I was quite surprised to see that Kehlers Gym is really this cool place where my children can do so much more than just gymnastics. This gym is just amazing. I signed up my kids a few months ago for gymnastics class and they love their teachers. But what wows me is that there are all the other activities. Down at one end there is this huge Survival Island thing where kids can climb on ropes and rock walls and in another room they have a big indoor playground called the Fun Factory with tunnels, ball pits, slides and stuff. They even have those big blow up bounce rooms which my 5 year old goes nuts over. I keep telling my friends in Dallas they should see this place. more

Great cheerleading program 11/15/2010

We’ve been involved with the Dragons for about a year. My daughter is 7 and she never did any cheerleading before but she wanted to try it because her friends were all doing it. At Kehler’s the coaches are really nice to the kids but they also know how to put together a winning team. In their first year they won a national championship. I think that any program that can keep a balance between having fun and winning is really giving my daughter the kind of life skills I want her to have. We love Reggie, Peggy & Trish, her coaches! You can really tell that they love the kids. Three cheers for Kehler’s Dragons Cheerleading! more

The kids love it 3/16/2010

We love going there in the winter months. For $8 per kids (adults free) the kids can spend a couple of hours out of the house. Its less than the movies & I feel good that they're "being kids" and burning off energy. The staff is nice & its close to our home. It was great when one of the boys was 3 & the other 1 b/c they have a section just for kids 4 & under away from the bigger kids. Its not big but at least I know its separate from the rest. more

Unbelievably bad customer service 10/6/2009

Whatever you do, avoid Kehler's like the plague. The owner is petty and nasty, the staff is oblivious and rude, and the gym itself is filthy and ill-run. You'd be better off taking your hard-earned money and throwing it out a window...I guarantee it would be more fun. Your child will leave there feeling bad about him/herself, and you'll wonder what you actually just paid for. Ask around, and you'll hear stories that you're sure aren't true. Trust me, we found out the hard and expensive way. more

very poorly run, fun factory not that great 9/14/2009

Fun Factory isn't that great. OK fun once in a great while on a rainy day. No good place for parents to sit. I sat on the dirty floor. Had a nightmare experience trying to place my autistic son in their camp. To their credit, they were open to trying to place him. However, they failed to return numerous (maybe 8?!?) phone messages I left, failed to follow through on what they committed to in emails, and made the fallout MY problem. My perception is that they did what they wanted to do, regardless of what they said on the phone or in an email response. They were forceful in denying any wrongdoing -- even AFTER seeing it clear as day in the emails THEY wrote and received! Be careful. They have a disjointed, poorly--run organization. And they are not sorry for the trouble they cause. more

Good place to run off some steam 1/17/2006

Kehler's Gym has a part of it called the Fun Factory which is open to the public regardless of whether your child takes gym classes there. It is a three story climbing structure with a large slide, two ball pits a trapeze device and more. Needless to say, on a rainy day, it's a godsend. Your kids can run and run and then fall over asleep in the car! Prices tend to be high, but its' worth it. more

Torture for Adults 9/18/2005

I have hosted and my children have attended - many a kids birthday party here and let me say one thing...CHAOS. This Fun Factory is a padded jungle gym for kids under 12 or so and while the place is safe, it is wild, all the time. There is the capacity for numerous children's parties at one time and frankly, I found it stressful to keep track of "my kids". Party rooms are available for pizza, cake and ice cream (you bring in or have delivered). A party here is not cheap. The facility also gives gymnastic lessons and that gym is also available for birthday parties. In the summer there is a very popular summer camp with almost one million (okay, I exaggerate here). kids attending. The owners, a married couple, are VERY high strung and I have seen one or the other of them scream at a parent who errantly stepped on the mat - a very serious offense, it seems. This place is so popular with the kids, its seems the owners don't care how rude they are to adults. Fortunately, a new, very popular roller skating rink has opened in the same area and recently installed a similar, albeit bigger "fun factory". I hope my days at Kehler's Gym are over. more

Lots of fun for kids and parents too. 8/11/2005

This place is great to take your kids on a rainy or a very cold or hot day and they need to get some energy out. We have only gone into the section that is a three story padded jungle gym, but it's really hard to get the kids out! They also have a toddler section and chairs for the parents to sit on while their kids play. It's adequately staffed with friendly employees. They also have birthday parties here that are reasonably priced, we had our son's 1st birthday here and he had as much fun as his older cousins! more
