Ordered dynamite and salmon teriyaki with rice. Portions were way too small, especially for the price. It was so bad that I had to ask if there was anything in my bag when I received the food. 7 dollars for a little slice of salmon and 12 dollars for a small box of dynamite? There was more rice than the rest of what I ordered. more

Timely service, faster than expected (though we're < 1mile from the place). Gyoza was good, Rainbow roll was Excellent and tasty. Chicken teriyaki was light, more authentic-tasting than the Americanized teriyaki chicken I'm used to, which was different but still good. Prices are a bit high for amount of food, but the quality makes up for some of it. More like 4.5 stars, but will definitely be ordering from here again. more

would not recommend 4/8/2010

Husband and i ordered here a couple weeks ago delivery and had poor service. The reception from the woman on phone was too say the least rude, and the delivery took a lot longer than the woman had said it would. It was Friday so i am assuming they were busy, so my husband and I gave them benefit of the doubt but when we finally got the sushi it was mediocre to say the least. Their pictures are deceiving and it was mostly rice and didnt even look all that fresh.. I will admit that we eat sushi maybe only once a month or so, but even a non-expert knows what to look for in good sushi. If your looking for sushi there are plenty of better places around this area that are better service and quality. Would not recommend!! Pros: none in my experience Cons: lack of fish in sushi rolls, poor customer service more

Deliciously Convenient Sushi in Hollywood 9/27/2008

I recently moved to Hollywood and luckily, I moved across the street from this delicious sushi haven. While walking my dog, I noticed a bright sign promoting Kozuki's daily Happy Hour and thought to myself, ""Why not check out what this place has to offer?"" Don't let it happen to you... Steer clear of Kazoku!! 8/11/2008

\r \r Maybe it was my fault for ordering sushi delivery on a Sunday evening, but I have never been more disappointed in a sushi spread. My wife and I are big fans and have a number of restaurants (e.g. EN, Katsu-ya, and Saito,) we frequent to indulge our cravings. However, last night we decided to stay in and try having some delivered. Kazoku was the only restaurant in our area that offered delivery so we picked some of our favorite rolls and cuts and waited for the the doorbell. The food came fairly quickly, taking far less time than I was told on the phone and my wife set up the spread while I poured a couple drinks. When I sat down to eat I remember thinking that the fish, especially the Toro and Yellowtail, just didn't look fresh. After taking a couple bites we realized that nothing was fresh and ended up tossing about $40 worth of Sushi and going to bed worrying about getting ill. Luckily neither of us got sick but we're both resolved to never order from Kazoku again. more

Best sushi in little Thai Town! 6/2/2008

My date is quite spontaneous when it comes to finding good eating- places. (But this time with the help of Citysearch.) Off the beaten path, a cute sushi place that located in, of all places, Thai Town. Who would of thought? Very friendly staff, and the ambience is nice and warm, comfortable, with perfect lighting. A good place to take your date or if you just want to drop by for some good old sushi and enjoy their big plasma screen on game nights with your buddies. We had a variety of the special rolls, hand rolls and sashimi, and they all were fresh. I was curious, so I asked the chef where he got his fish. Chef Boa's response was ? from the ocean?. Cute, huh? If you like sake and are undecided like me, ask the chefs because some of their best stuff is not even on the menu. We both had a good time and will definitely come back! more

TO DIE FOR SUSHI, GREAT SERVICE, RESONABLE PRICES, FUNNY ENTERTANERS 6/1/2008

I am addicted to eating sushi so I know what's good and what's not. All I have to say is this restaurant is on the top of my list. The fishes there are so fresh, I love it. Their Aloha Roll is amazing, it sure got me to say ""Alllooohhaaaa."" They have so many live things too. If you want to experience the wild side try their Live Abalone. The two sushi chiefs are great entertainer also if you sit at the bar. Their service is great, my cup is always filled never empty. They have the best hot tea. I really recommend everyone to try this place because the food is great, the chiefs and waitress are adorable, and the prices is reasonable. Pros: This is a family own place so it's they make you feel like family there. Cons: The parking is not so great but they have valet parking which is ok. more

Great sushi~ 1/19/2008

One of my friends recommended me this sushi place, so she brought me here Wednesday night, and I feel like I wanted to write this review and recommend this to everyone else too. The restaurant itself is very nice, which also includes the atmosphere and music, and they've got good service too. Most importantly, I love their special rolls. They've got some of their own unique special sushi rolls you can't find anywhere else. This is a good place for people who loves eating raw fish AND special sushi rolls and even everything else because they definitely provide fresh fish, as well as oysters, abalone and live scallops. This sushi place fits for you if you're really looking for fresh fish, live things, and good sushi rolls. You don't have to go up to Beverly hills for good stuff, Kazoku Sushi is just the place if you're near Hollywood. \r \r I had a great experience here, and I'll go back for sure. more

So Fresh !!! 1/15/2008

I found this sushi bar from this site and then I went to try last Friday.... I'm so surprised because fishes (salmon, tuna, toro, albacore, yellowtail, etc.) are very fresh !!!! \r Moreover, they have many things that the others don't have like live Abalone, live scallop, half shell oyster, etc. Black cod (appetizer) is so mild & sweet and Kazoku's Special Roll is the best !!!\r I really like here and recommend everybody to try !!! more

Kazoku Sushi's a nice place to enjoy eating sushi !!!\r There're warm atmosphere with comtemporary style, big TV screen, and big fish on the wall.\r I really love Kazoku's Special Roll, Seared Pepper Tuna, and King Crab Sushi !!!\r I'm surprised that this place has Black Cod, Chilean Sea Bass, Baked Mussel, and Half Shell Oyster.\r Taste's so great and service's so good. I really enjoy and I will go back for sure... more
