Not bad, not the best either. We've eaten at places on Oahu such as Helena's whose kahlua pork and ribs are to die for each and every time. I don't know if it's fair to compare this restaurant in Seattle, to the one in Oahu, but I shall, since people told me to come here for authentic Hawaiian cuisine. I doubt they are roasting the kahlua pork in a pit, so the taste is close, but NOT quite hitting the mark for authentic Hawaiian pork. They did not have any haupia, but told us to go next door to the dismally supplied dessert place. We shall get to that one later in this review. Anyway, the food was good here, but oversalted, and the place is just a bit greasy. They have some huge wall fans in this place that must have caught someone's body odor and spread it throughout the restaurant for a good 3 minutes, which turned my stomach. I suspect it was from outside? Anyway, the service was nice and friendly, the place was consistently busy, and they really cannot accommodate large parties (7 +), so be wary. They will direct you to the dessert place next door for desserts that Kauai does not carry, but that bakery had such few items, we thought they were going out of business!! They try to sell those cheap puka shell necklaces for $8.00!! at the bakery --necklaces we got for FREE in Hawaii just for stepping into a store.
