They are the worst counseling agency . I could not find one good thing to say. They fabricate illnesses. They take clients for a ride. I am warning you. If your intention is to get worse,,,,go here. I warned you. more

I find Karner Psychological to be a very respectable, well-rounded practice that provides many needed services. I have been a patient for many years and have referred many friends and family members to this practice. All have been very happy with the outcomes they have seen. While the patient and therapist must connect for therapy to work, this may not happen at the first visit, and the need to switch to a new therapist might be needed. I have found the office staff to be very accommodating and polite with any of my requests. As for children, many of my issues and those I have referred to Karner Psychological Associates are in regards to children’s issues and they have had wonderful outcomes. May I suggest that everyone make their own judgment as every individual has a specific need they want meet and it may be those who have had a bad experience did not have an open mind to all problem fixes. I have nothing but good things to say about Karner. I have been a patient for many years and have referred many friends and family members (kids included) to this practice. All of which have been thankful for the services provided. While it might take a visit or two to find the best therapist/patient connection for you, they work with their patients to help them make the best fit possible. The office staff is very professional and helpful in every way. I say try them yourself and make your own judgment as to how you feel!! more

Services from the therapist were good. Billing department has been a nightmare. The office requested payment in full even though I have insurance. Insurance also payed and they have kept both payments. For two months I have been unable to even speak to a person about a refund of my overpayments. No response to voice mails, emails or written correspondence. Very unprofessional. I would never use them again. more

My child has been going to counseling at Karner Psychological for many years and has seen a few counselors there. I have found them extremely helpful and professional. They have helped my child deal with many difficult problems. My child is much better now and the Guilderland office staff is always willing to help anyway they can. In my opinion it is the best psychological practice in the area. I have referred many friends there. more
