This weekend as me and my friends waited in line to go into Zanies we watched the furry cat they have in the store pee on the Leather Ottoman right at the front of the store. It was so gross, after the cat did his business in the ottoman he then proceeded to go scratch some of the chairs before getting comfortable. Needless to say, I do not recommend this place. I wonder how many other very expensive furniture hasn't it ruin before and people go in there an buy furniture that has been peed on by this cat. more

Love This Place 4/14/2011

If you are looking for unique hand crafted custom furniture then look no further. We had been searching for a new island for our kitchen and media cabinet for our den. We had searched for months but could not find exactly what we were looking for due to the size/layout of both our kitchen and den. Karmal Skillington built a custom island that is the centerpiece of our kitchen and a media cabinet that is heirloom furniture quality. We couldn't believe the quality and service we received. The value was incredible as their price delivered and installed was about the same as two other generic cabinet makers had quoted. But instead of cookie cutter cabinets, we have custom, old pine conversation piece furniture for the same price. more

Awesome place to find custom and unique furniture!!!! 1/12/2010

The minute you walk in the door you are overwhelmed by the light fixtures hanging from the ceiling and then the incredible custom furniture on the floor. You do not know where to go first. I have been doing business with Leigh for about 5 years now and could not imagine going anywhere else. My favorite piece we have purchased is my 8' old pine harvest table. It is the centerpiece of our home and definitely well loved. If you are looking for high quality furniture made with love, come to KM--these pieces are investments that will be passed on for generations. Leigh is great and not to forget Rachel. The two compliment each other and such as pleasure to work with. They will help you with every detail from the style that fits your home, color, and budget. Best custom furniture shop in Nashville!!! Hands down 2/16/2009

My wife and I purchased an old heart pine table and chairs from this establishment close to a year ago. One word...FABULOUS!! We entertain quite frequently and it is the absolute center of attention in our home. There are many replicas (loosely speaking) in the Nashville area, but none compare to the quality of craftmanship and service we found at Karmal -Skillington. I also would like to commend Rachael for her incredible eye and detail to attention. She is awesome! Funny! and a real asset to the company (you would love her). After this experience, I can honestly say that there is no furniture store in Nashville that even compares to the quality and attention that is given to its clients. Five stars all the way around. The best place to find a unique piece for your pad!! 6/13/2008

When my husband and I were in Nashville we stopped by KM just to look around. My eyes were bugging out of my head because they had the most amazing stuff! Leigh was so friendly when she greeted us and she told us they were having a bullseye sale. Not being great at darts, I said my hubby can probably do it- even he's bad too. Mike got 3 chances and actually got a bullseye on the second throw - wow- 50% on an item in the store!! I brought him over to the crocodile ottoman I was drooling over and he fell in love with it too! It's on the way to Denver as we speak. We are redecorating one of our livingrooms and this will be such a cool and funky centerpiece with a great story to tell. We will be back for a custom table when we redo our Mardi Gras Lounge next year.. Thanks for the great communication and customer service. We both own businesses and know how important that is! Excellent craftmanship and customer service 10/10/2007

My wife and I wandered into Karmal-Skillington just to browse, but we couldn't pass on the red leather chairs for our den. When Leigh personally delivered the chairs a few days later, we asked her to see what she could do for our small breakfast room. As we soon discovered, Leigh has a wonderful eye for space and design. Far And Away 9/12/2007

We were in Nashville for the weekend and walked into KS as an afterthought. On our flight home (Toronto) we were wondering why we spend so much money on a kitchen set and a dining room table. Now that we have the stuff in our house we are struggling to find furniture of the same quality regardless of the price. The furniture is not cheap but it is great value. Furthermore, the service that is apart of the package is excellent. Also, shipping to Canada is quite simple. Pros: quality Cons: its not located in Toronto more

Our search for a table to fit our blended and growing family came to an end when we visited Karmal Skillington. Leigh greeted us as we entered this most intriguing showroom and gave a thorough overview of what she could offer to meet our unique need. An 8 foot farm table, designed to our specifications, would be built. As we relayed our situation of remodeling our home's two bathrooms, she offered ideas that led us to order custom vanities. Best custom tables anywhere and best furniture store in town hands down! 2/27/2007

I was so impressed and amazed at Karmal-Skillington. The minute I walked in- I was in awe from floor to ceiling with all of the incredible furniture, custom tables that were the most beautiful tables and chairs I've ever seen anywhere! They had the most gorgeous chandeliers and lighting, art, mirrors, sofas, it was just gorgeous all the way around. The customer service was also impeccable. I was warmly greeted right away by the owner and an adorning, loving cat! The owner took the time to sit and consult with me so she could find out exactly what I was looking for and help me get it! It was just a really nice experience and so refreshing to walk into a place that offered impeccable yet warm service and selection. I won't go anywhere else. Everyone needs to shop here. I ordered/purchased four custom made (wood) furnishings from Leigh Skillington for the unique look and use that I could not find elsewhere. Leigh took the time to understand what I wanted & made me feel comfortable about purchasing custom works. In addition, the quality & service level met or exceeded my expectations. Karmal-Skillington is one of my favorite places to find unique home furnishings in Nashville. The teak tables and cabinets are one-of-a-kind. I always find neat wall hangings for my home and people always ask me where I got them! Karmel-Skillington is my secret! The prices are a little high, but feel free to make an offer since it is a dealer. Sometimes they'll come down a little. Pepper, the store cat, is always there to greet you and give you a friendly ""meow"". Go to this place. There's none other like it in Nashville.
