So this was my first time eating at Karma. I must say that I was very upset with the way they run this place. I found out that the owner keeps all of his servers tips. I can't believe someone would do that to his hard working employees. The servers were sooooo sweet, but I will NEVER go back for the fact that the OWNER is a LOSER. I will look into reporting him for this. more

Being English, I appreciate and crave high quality Indian food. This is one of the very best Indian restaurants in the LA area. Great Vindaloo- excellent Chicken Tikka Massalla and really authentic naans. Great indian beer and cocktail selection.Service is always impeccable- highly recommended! more

Went in on Easter sunday...called and they said they were open till 10pm so after work a friend and I went at 9pm and arrived at 915 pm sharp. I know because I worked in the food service industry and know its rude to arrive later then 30min before close. We just wanted naan and chicken with spinach. We walk in and they all just stand there and stare so I asked are u open? The manager says we close at 930 tonight so the kitchen is closed. I said the door says 10om and I just called and u said 10pm he said no i was wrong so i leave and the call from my car asking for a phone order to pick up he said no problem. I let him know I was just in there and was turned away...he became very angry when I said I would call the owner. I WILL NEVER NEVER GO THERE AGAIN AND WILL MAKE SURE EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT THE RUDE MANAGEMENT!!! more

I'm here from out of town visiting my beautiful girlfriend. She had been planning on visiting Karma and it was her birthday so we went for the lunch buffe (lame, i know). It was stellar (get it? the stars?). We had everything and it we can't say enough about it. The service was amazing but not intruding; super friendly, very attentive. We can't wait to go back. Also, it was totally affordable (11.95 i believe) and the surroundings were just right. We must say something about the music- it was fun and exciting, try daydreaming about an international spy action thriller while you eat. I think were going back tonight actually. Karma Indian Cuisine will appeal to most Americans' taste. The foods on the buffet are mild by most standards. Still I overheard someone at the table next to me say that his nose was running from the spices in the food. I dare say that nose was not. I can take the ""HEAT"" and it will be interesting to see what their night time menu offers. The service was polite and very attentive. I took my friend to Karma one evening and the first thing we noticed were the beautiful, traditional and glittering decors along with the friendly greetings and smiles from the hostess and waiters. It was perfect timing to come to meet our craving needs. From the tantilizing lamb chops to chicken tikka masala, saag and potatoes, lentils, basmati rice and the variety of breads-garlic, olive and spinach naans, we enjoyed each bite that was so flavorful. All evening all we said was ""mmmm, it's so good"". My friend had a glass of distinctive white wine which went perfectly with the dinner. Towards the end of the dinner we took our desserts upstairs to the lounge and enjoyed it while listening to the soothing music. It was one of the best dinner I've had in a long time. The friendly service from the waiters, servers and chefs behind the counter made it even more pleasant. There were quite some people at the bar area as well, chatting amongst each other. I remember some customers leaving at the door with their compliments from the food to the decor and friendly service. This left a great impression with my friend and me and we will definitely take our friends and family here. Another plus is the ample parking spaces. This is the first time I have used citysearch. I recently went to Karma in Valencia for the first time. I haven't had Indian cuisine in awhile. Let me tell you--Karma's food is amazing. I highly recommend it. The atmosphere is also romantic and relaxing, with Indian decorations, flickering candles and, of course, great music. The lamb chops were great. Try the spinach naan. I have been eating indian food for decades.I have been to this restaurant several times. The food is all right. They make everything fresh, unlike most Indian restaurant where they make 50 garlic naan's because its so popular. This restaurant caters to very rich people, lots of attitude. It took a long time for them to open, we went to have the buffet and it was mediocre, lots of meat not enough vegetarian options. We went once for dinner, a really rude British accent Indian girl asked us if we had a reservation. They have guys with boards trying to direct traffic in, its a brand new place. We felt like we were not welcomed, but rather seen as unwanted guests. Anyway we did eat there that night, the food was really good, we ordered shahi paneer it was amazing. I had recently heard of Karma through a friend since previously having experiencing the Clay Oven restaurant, and I was impressed with food and prompt service. The food was delicious and the room ambience was very light. It was kind of odd that a birthday table was going next to me. The staff seemed to enjoy the birthday guest?s mood and played along song and all. My wife and I attended about 9 pm and had dinner. We were not shocked by the prices of dinner because the menu was available online which is a huge plus but after tasting the food which was very prompt almost faster than the service I felt it was money well spent. I am currently planning another outing in the future with a couple of new guest to introduce them to this new hip place which I feel is the breath of fresh air Valencia needed as far as restaurants in the area. The hostess had a great knowledge of wines and for the curious as first timers they have discreet little charts to show which wines go with each type of food, as well as a chill factor rating which helps tremendously. I would highly recommend this establishment to family and friends and surely will return. I went to Karma during lunch and had the All-You-Can-Eat Buffet, and let me just say that the quality and variety of the food was outstanding. The new ""hip"" place as they say it! I've tried Indian cuisines in different parts of LA but sometime the drive is a bit away. Not to say that there aren't any around this area but the quality and freshness of Karma's food is one of the best! My friends and I were here a week ago on a Friday night for a tantilizing to the taste buds dinner and were able to wind down in the lounge area with our cocktails and drinks in the lounge area. Good thing about it is that it is open until midnight so we didn't feel rushed especially after a week of work and we all wanted to relax. The service was wonderful! It's different and new in the good sense, something we need here in SCV. Pros: Food, Open Late & Service Cons: Haven't found one yet more
