Jungle Jims 5/25/2005

Jungle Jims is like an amusement park for food lovers. Seriously. The store is huge and full of interactive displays. They carry products from all over the globe. It's the only place I know where I can buy rattlesnake, ostrich, and Chinese chestnuts all in one trip. People come from out of state to visit Jungle Jims and I can't blame them. Its a real blast to shop there. They have things you've never even heard of and a wonderfully helpful staff. more

A World of Cuisine and A Monorail to Boot. 4/25/2005

Jungle Jim's is half mega-market and half Disney World. While they specialize in foods from all over the world this place is about the size of a Walmart, but is just food. They have everything! Fresh fish that swim in huge tanks (I mean huge), every fruit and vegetable known to man, and then there's practically a full grocery store worth of stuff from every major country in the world. The store is so big that they give tours...and are building a monorail (like Disney). It's a blast to take a few hours and walk around Jungle Jim's picking out ingredients to make new dishes from around our world. PROS: Huge Selection, Knowledgeable Staff, Fun CONS: Too big for everyday shopping more

If Jungle Jims doesn't carry it, it doesn't exist! 3/25/2005

An international market, JJ's offer a world class shopping experience! From food to cooking classes, its a GREAT place. PROS: FANTASTIC items from every land imaginable CONS: you can get lost in this place! more

It's a Jungle 2/22/2003

If I'm looking for exotic foods, this is the place I go. However, I never shop for staple foods nor ""American"" foods. It's too expensive and the store is set up very user unfriendly. Perishables would perish before I'd leave the Jungle. Pros: good exotic selection, money to expand, Jungle is hilarious Cons: expensive, bad floor plan, take too long to shop more

Not close by, and needs updated remodel, personel very unfriendly. more

Wow! 12/5/2002

Wow! Is what you say when you walk into acres of food & beverages. The variety is endless. Currently they are adding several acres onto the grocery and a strip mall. Pros: Variety, Atmosphere, So Big Cons: Expensive, Crowded, So Big more

Amazing 12/2/2002

I went with my spouse - with no expectations - to kill time. I was amazed! We spent almost an hour in the beer section. Had I gone after reading all these wonderful reviews it may not have been the same (high expectations). We went on a Saturday and it was really crowded. They have a really deep selection of quality items. They are also adding on which seems like a hard thing to do. Pros: Selection, Quality, Unique Cons: Crowded on Weekends, Don't take Amex, Overwhelmed 1st time more

Disney + Groceries 11/11/2002

Going to Jungle Jim's was truly an experience. The building really grabs your attention. There is some kind of light-rail contraption outside that is reminiscent of Disney's monorail (just not working). The comparison continues inside the way it is divided into different ""countries"", much like Epcot. There are various animatronic animals singing throughout the store much like the It's a Small World ride. The selection of beer, wine, cigars, and food is absoltely mind-boggling. It is worth the trip! Pros: Variety more

Get lost in the Jungle 9/26/2002

Going to Jungle Jim's is like taking a nice break from it all and remembering jolly old England. The British isle is the best part of the store by far. Well, the Ireland room comes pretty close. Absolutely fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pros: EVERYTHING, best cheese, best imports more

What an experience! 8/8/2002

This is a must place for everyone to visit at least once. It is so corney, yet I go in there & can never come out without something that I've never tried before! Go ahead, get a little adventerous! Try a hot sauce, a ""foreign"" food, a trip without leaving the city! FUN!! more

Spend hours here 7/24/2002

Jungle Jim's is to be experienced. Tacky, yes. Large, yes. Different, yes. If you love food and flavors from around the world, this is a place Cincinnatian's treasure. Pros: Very Unique, Only in Cincinnati!, Good Parking more
