Within the past few years, I've become a fajita connoisseur, and Jose Tejas is BY FAR the best fajita place I've ever been! The portions are enormous and delicious beyond words, not to mention very easy on the wallet. Try the half anf half fajitas to get a taste of both the chicken and the steak, and don't skip out on Jose's beans and rice - the rice is seasoned SO WELL and has just the right amount of kick. this place is a local favorite and they don't take reservations, so try to avoid busy dinner times and happy hours. Not so romantic, but the cantina-style decor is fun with wall paintings, neon signs, and the gas lamps flickering over a usually rambunctious crowd. Waits have been known to go past 2 hours depending on the size of your party, but the food is well worth it. Their bucket-sized house margaritas are a tasty way to fill time with the complementary fresh made chips and salsa, and at $5 a pop, not too hard on your piggy bank either. this place is my favorite restaurant, hands down.
Pros: fantastic fare, great prices, fun atmosphere
Cons: long waits, trouble parking
